Walcott has been pretty wasteful so far these friendlies. He had 3-4 chances against Greentown and failed to take any.

He had been playing very well but like usual his finishing has let him down on several occasions so far these friendlies.

least he is showing the confidence to go for goal, always been a problem for arsenal, wanting to walk the ball into the net, he just needs to make the shots count

lol at that own goal. Jenkinson looks like he's going to murder someone at halftime.

He was ropeable at halftime. Unfortunate because he has been one the most impressive players in our friendlies. Good to see he has so much passion for us, being an arsenal supporter and all.

Fulltime 2-1. First half alot better than the second but some good signs all round.

Only bad news is that Henderson was stretchered off with a knee injury. No real loss as he probably wouldn't have played other then a carling cup game or two but didn't look too good.

In general, finishing is one of Walcotts strong points. Has he been played up front in these friendlies?

He has been pretty much starting on the right but making runs alot more down the middle. Not quite playing as a striker though. Second half against Greentown (before FC Cologne) he was extremely wasteful and could have scored 4 goals.

Yeah, it didn''t look too good... Poor bloke. It wasn't the best of games from Arsenal but the effort was there. Walcott did have some good runs in the game. Hangzhou have a lot of international players... it was so surprising.

August 31st. A lot of time to buy, but sooner rather than later would be preferable.

Wenger has said he plans to add a defender to the squad.

Lukaku rumours coming back out again. Would be a great buy but I hope there's alot of negotiations going on in the background for CBs and possibly midfielders.

Arsenal Football Club has agreed terms for forward Jay Emmanuel-Thomas to move to Championship side Ipswich Town on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old former FA Youth Cup-winning captain had been with the Gunners since the age of eight, making one start and four substitute appearances for the first team.

London-born Jay got a taste of first-team football with loan spells at Blackpool, Doncaster Rovers and Cardiff City, where he scored two goals in 16 appearances as the Bluebirds narrowly missed out on reaching the Championship play-off final last season.

Everyone at Arsenal thanks Jay for his contribution to the Club and wishes him every success in his future career.

Does anyone know if Nasri is staying or going?

He's a huge loss if he leaves and it seems if he doesn't leave this season he won't re-sign a new contract. You might as well get the huge $25 million being mooted from City while you can. And he'd be exactly what City need.

On Arsenal, why they don't just sign Christopher Samba is beyond me. He'd only cost $8 to $10 million, he's by far one the best defenders in the Premier League, he's young and he's the tough, no nonsense and always playing hard centre back Arsenal have missed for nearly a decade. I reckon if Samba went to any big club (he'd be a great signing for anyone) his career would take off and he'd be an England regular.

The only way we will lose Nasri next season is if the board intervenes and over rules Wenger. Nasri appears like he would like a change of clubs, but Wenger is adamant it won't happen. He is of the view that he can convince him to resign during the next season, on the basis of winning some cups.

I am of the opinion that 20mil pounds is too much to ignore. Would love him to stay, but the stakes are too high. Take 20m now rather than risk a fee free transfer next season.
