Already commented on the Di Maria to PSG rumours, won't bother looking into them again

From what I've gathered, Di Maria will remain a Manchester United player for the upcoming season

I'd be surprised as anybody if the club allows him to leave but if anything changes then I will post it in here

Hardly convincing going by what they're reporting in the papers over in France, one paper says his wages are too high and the other says it's a done deal - hardly convincing

It would be a shame to see him go and not give it a proper go ... Would love to see him destroy some teams with his pace and skill this upcoming season

Weighing in on the LvG vs. Valdes debate

Think what happened here is when we signed Valdes in January, he was given assurances that he'd be our new #1 come the new season as by that stage, it was certain De Gea was set to leave for Real Madrid in the summer

So Valdes was happy to sit on the bench for the majority of last season given he was promised the #1 jersey as soon as De Gea left but circumstances changed when we found out Ramos wanted to leave

We've quickly jumped onto Ramos' anger at Florentino Perez, demanding a player swap deal if Real Madrid wanted De Gea or pay the full amount we were asking since Woodward grew massive balls overnight

Real Madrid refuse to allow their new captain to leave and aren't willing to meet our asking price so we've told De Gea he's staying for another season and Valdes must have been informed to play in the reserves until De Gea's future is sorted

Obviously Valdes unhappy with circumstances changing and has kicked off behind closed doors so LvG simply said f*ck off and made it public for everybody to see at the press conference

Could have and should have been handled better, maybe keeping everything behind closed doors.. but that's LvG, he's blunt and there's no beating around the bush

Not officially, no but Otamendi should be a Man United player soon as long as the deal doesn't fall through, which could still happen seeing as the club is reluctant to pay his release clause

The deal should have been done quite awhile ago but the club kind of stalled on Otamendi when we found out about Ramos' situation at Real Madrid and pursued him for a short while

Ramos appears certain to stay at Real Madrid, they aren't prepared to let their new captain go anytime soon and so we've revived interest in Otamendi

Latest reports are Otamendi is prepared to take a pay cut in his contract with the club to push the transfer through seeing as it's likely the club will have to match Valencia's demand of €50m/£35m

Fully expect this deal to go through, as much as the club doesn't want to pay the full amount Valencia are asking, there aren't many other quality defenders available on the market so we'll have to pay up

Also, LvG mentioned this to MUTV regarding transfers

"We're not finished yet, we still need to improve at least two positions and we shall when possible."

LvG is after a centreback and striker, I know we're very close to agreeing a deal with Valencia for Otamendi but unsure who we're after for a striker
