Because it gets people talking, it sells their rubbish papers

And even if there was a grain of truth about this ridiculous rumour, there isn't a spot for Sterling in our team.. Januzaj can't even break into the first team

Manchester United are always going to be linked with players from around the globe, but how many of those rumours turn out to be true? Not many

that's fair enough then.

Just makes you wonder what position Liverpool are in with Sterling if the media keep linking him with you guys and/or away from the club.

SCHOLES URGES UTD TO SIGN STERLING

MAN Utd legend Paul Scholes has urged his former club to sign Raheem Sterling from bitter rivals Liverpool in January.

Sterling who currently earns £30, 000 a week has recently rejected a 5 year lucrative deal from his current club worth £100, 000 and has desires to move away from Anfield in January.

Writing in his column in The Independent, Scholes has likened Raheem Sterling to his former United team mate Cristiano Ronaldo.

"Sterling does not seem the type to me to complain. I see him as one of those brave wingers, a tough kid who gets kicked and then picks himself up again."

"He gets on with it, and does not hide on the pitch, a bit like Cristiano Ronaldo one did at Manchester United," Scholes insisted

"And if he wants to reach that level one day, he will have noticed that the likes of Ronaldo, Messi and Andres Iniesta have played upto 70 games in some seasons".

Sterling will travel with his Liverpool team to Loftus Road to face his former club, Queens Park Rangers.

Does Scholes realise that Sterlings's current contract at Liverpool has 3 years left?
Seriously Liverpool would never offload him to anyone in January.
Sterling will be at Liverpool in 2017 and beyond.

Paper talk, its the mirror, make of what you believe in this...

STERLING TO SIGN FOR MAN UTD
Let's begin with some bad news for Liverpool fans and good news for Man Utd as the Sunday Mirror report that Raheem Sterling is close to agreeing a deal with Man Utd.

The 19-year-old has been rumoured to join Man Utd but it looks like he will soon make his way to Old Trafford in January.

Report the Mirror: 'Sunday Mirror Sport revealed two weeks ago that the Red Devils are now ready to take the teenager for his meteoric rise to the top by handing him a £100,000-a-week deal.

'Sterling still has three years left on his current deal but the plan at Anfield is to have a five-year agreement signed and sealed inside the next month and this has been rejected by Sterling's management.'

Starting to turn into a Wesley Sneijder-to-Manchester United type rumour, we've been linked to Sneijder in every single transfer window but nothing ever materialises

Still can't see Manchester United or Liverpool doing business directly with one another

Sterling's agent is playing the "give my client a bigger contract or he goes", Liverpool will sooner or later match the money wanted by Sterling's management

Good morning, football is officially back in action for Manchester United!

For the first time in Louis van Gaal's management, we could potentially be lining up in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 depending on how van Gaal sets up his team tactically but it's good to see Januzaj given a chance

Manchester United starting XI vs. West Brom
De Gea, Rafael, Jones, Rojo, Shaw, Blind, Herrera, Januzaj, Mata, Di Maria, van Persie

Substitutions
Lindegaard, Smalling, Carrick, Fellaini, Fletcher, Young, Falcao

West Brom starting XI vs. Manchester United
Myhill, Wisdom, Lescott, Dawson, Pocognoli, Gardner, Brunt, Morrison, Dorrans, Sessegnon, Berahino

Substitutions
Daniels, Gamboa, McAuley, Mulumbu, Blanco, Ideye, Anichebe

F*ck me, still cannot believe we have Januzaj and Di Maria operating on the flanks providing us with attacking width.. this time last season, we f*cking had Young and Valencia as our wingers sending in hopeless crosses

Actually, Januzaj seen during the warm up alongside van Persie

Potentially means we'll be sticking to the Diamond 4-4-2 and Januzaj will operate as a striker alongside RvP assuming Januzaj will be allowed to drift out wide when he picks the ball up

West Brom playing a very possession based game so far, need to hit them on the counter when we get the ball

Shaw caught out of position, West Brom hit us on the counter and open the scoring

What a strike though, top right hand corner

2012/13 van Persie would have scored with that opportunity there

Would like to see Falcao on at some point, he's deadly in the air

Januzaj and Di Maria can provide him with some crosses into the box

Great chance to have equalised there, van Persie cutback to an unmarked Mata who couldn't get there in time
