Wasn’t there an article about a month ago about no changes was happening to the board and everyone was on the same page?
I’m still confused about this man. I asked Dinkum or diddly and they didn’t answer. I thought the board was sweet. Oh well, as long as we keep doing the right things in the footy department.

Why would we post on threads saying how bright the future is if we don't really feel good about those at the helm and the future they are shaping? Honestly, when are you going to learn - you can't project your opinions or optimism onto others. Polly called exactly what was going on behind thescenes at board level long ago. He is clearly in the know. And you continue to disrespect him.

Not me, mate. I didn't believe that everything was all rosy and there was no factionalism. please don't hit me with friendly fire lol
My apologies @Flanagun please accept them.

The club had become all about two people and not the actual club itself. These players like Hayward, Papalii, etc were around long before our current chairman and GM them two take all the credit. The North Coast Bulldogs partnership was formed when Andrew Hill and Lynne Anderson were around and all NRL clubs have been assigned a region. Eli Clark has been with us since Hill was CEO. It's been made out to be about two people before the club itself.

Canterbury has always had strong juniors, strong pathways, strong systems. We've lacked the NRL component of the club. The most important part of the club.

A lot of deals have been done to prevent elections in the past. When the EGM signatures got put together one of the three new directors was a very firm Dib ally. When the two directors were removed not long after the Barrett coach sacking when Paul Kent called them fan boys they were replaced by another Dib ally and what seemed to be a neutral in Druissi.

When you all cheered no nominations for the board I said they didn't need to challenge as Khoury was one vote away from being ousted as chairman. One too many deals to prevent elections cost Khoury the job from within.

I predicted there wouldn't be a board challenge and predicted Khoury wasn't safe as chairman as one director clearly being Druissi who wasn't in a faction had chairman ambitions and now aligned himself with a faction. This meant Khoury was one vote away from being ousted. The Khoury faction was Mortimer, Thomas and Gifford. One of them has given Druissi the numbers to be chairman.

What's interesting is how quick Gould changed from being a 1-2 partnership with Khoury to now supporting Druissi lilke Khoury never existed. Gould backs the winning team.
You do anything to take a stab at Gus don’t you, so what you are saying is Gus has done nothing for the junior path ways, any thing good that comes out or from the club is past GM , you also think Gus only backs a winning team and that Druissi will sack Gus if his out of line?
100% you have no idea what goes on in the club and you always say I predicted this and that but nothing you predicted comes true.
I predict Gus won’t get sacked watch me get this right.

Phil Gould has lots of strengths. He has lots of weaknesses. No one at a club should ever be unaccountable. The club is not about two people. It's about the club. Any time something good has happened at the club it's only been about two people getting the glory. I hope the new chairman makes all employees accountable and makes it about the club first when it's successful and not individuals.

This is slightly different to where individuals would stand for board seats or a rival ticket would stand to gain control of the board. It seems there’s no appetite for wholesale change (which is what @04 Dreaming was wrong about) but this is a focused kill. ‘Ambition’ could be part of it but I suspect JK may have fallen into the trap of trying to appease all and ended up with no allies - the exact same thing happened to Andrew Hill. Driussi is likely seen as being stronger / more decisive.

I just think it’s a shame on the cusp of a new season. We don’t need the instability or disruption so assuming JK stands down knowing he’d lose a challenge it should be over quickly. If he fights and it goes to a vote it’s uglier. Club First, Individual Third. JK knows this.

If he's part of the Dib faction, don't want him. Dibs faction can stay far the fuck away from running the club

I'll be voting JK
Only the 7 elected directors can vote for chair and deputy. They formally get elected on Sunday with no ballot required as there wasn't 8 or more nominations. Immediately after the meeting the 7 directors will convene where they nominate for the positions of chair and deputy. If there's more than 1 nomination the 7 elected directors have a vote. John Khoury will be chairman until and during the AGM on Sunday. Whether he nominates for chair after the 7 directors are formally elected or not we will know within an hour of the AGM concluding.
