Adding to what Sweet FA posted.................

Just a couple aspects of junior development and recruitment but who deals with player agents for aspiring players, not sure if juniors have managers, I'm aware this is common in European soccer, who deals with that side?
In the pathways coaching staff, David Tangata-Toa is the Transition Coach and the coach of the Bulldogs NSW Cup team, Willie Mason is the Pathways Coach and Mick Potter is the Mounties NSW Cup Coach. Gould, as GM Football, is responsible for all contracts and negotiations with player managers and agents.

Also who deals with scouts? European teams have scouting networks and academys far and wide, do we have a scout (s) monitoring, recording, tracking in NZ, NSW country, local leagues, QLD?
Gould has a number of people who do the remote scouting for him, recommend players that he should watch training and playing. Craig Sandercock and Barrett are included in Gould's scouting team. We have academies with a number of junior districts including the most recent addition the Western Clydesdales (SW Qld).

Of course the Peter Moore Bulldogs Academy at Belmore is the meeting point and training venue for all of our affiliated junior clubs. I don't know the numbers for this year, but over 200 juniors went through the academy last year (Covid affected). Pierre Tabet and Rennie Matua look after coaching for Harold Matts, Mitch Lewis and Shannon Rustworth do the same for SG Ball with Luke Vella the Coach for Jersey Flagg. Below them we have Under 14, Under 15 and Under 16 Development Squads.

Ultimately Gould is responsible for all of the Bulldogs Pathways and all football staff report to him, directly or indirectly.

Always a Bulldog

Super league provides good footage and talent with professional departments and communication, we really should try loaning a player out and maybe gaining an experienced player or young lad from their league. Luke Thompson was quality when he arrived, contract value is a separate point
Thompson was quality in the Super League, the NRL is a massive step up week after week. We weren’t in a position of leverage when we signed him, it was in the midst of the Port Macquarie fiasco & he was
signed “at all costs “as a replacement for CHN. Thompson was signed on playmaker money to play 35mins predominately in the front row.

The problem is JMK and the forwards, Jackson at first receiver shits me to tears, ball needs to be in the playmakers hands ie Burton or Dufty when we in the attacking third instead it’s who wants a hit up fuckin abysmal

Flanagan might not offer a lot but if he can get repeats sets, make tackles and kick goals the spots his. I’d take him for his goal kicking alone, he would of win us the other 2 games to start the season

With the Bulldogs seeming encouraged more than last year to promote the ball for 2nd phase play, we don't need as much the halfback forwards or the Thurston or Joey halfback.
See what offloads bring with particular runners(our small men like Dufty are getting to know what type of offloads to expect from our runners like Max King or TPJ or the odd JMK run if he actually passes it on the break. Those plays are less predictable in training so it's understandable it takes time to identify these runs.
Having said that- play 'shit sets', maybe a cheeky or crafty play/inside ball in between, backline play 4th, kick. Rinse and repeat.
