We've made a major move in the player market by signing Canberra Raiders outside back, Nick Cotric, for the next three years.
The star 21 year-old, who has scored 37 tries in 80 matches for the Raiders, will join the boys in Blue and White next season in a deal that will keep him here at Belmore until the end of the 2023 campaign.

Cotric was a key figure in Canberra's run to the Grand Final last season and also represented New South Wales in Game One of the Origin Series. In addition, he made his International debut for Australia in matches against New Zealand and Tonga at the end of 2019.

Bulldogs Chief Executive Andrew Hill was delighted that Cotric had pledged his future to the club;

"Signing a player of Nick's ability and class is a massive boost for our club moving forward and another step in strengthening our squad to lead us into the future.

With Luke Thompson having joined us and Nick now bringing some great strikepower to our backline I am confident that we are constructing the quality of squad that can produce the results we are looking for in the coming seasons."

I'd love to have him here, but if the reported figure of $750,000 a year is accurate, he can stay in Canberra

Canterbury have upped their offer to Canberra winger Nick Cotric in a bid to lure him away from the nation’s capital, but the Raiders have an ace up their sleeve to secure the representative flyer.
In a last-ditch bid to secure Cotric, the Bulldogs have tabled a $1.8 million deal over three years – the club’s maximum.

Canberra have offered the outside back a $2.5 million three-year deal but with an option for a further two seasons in the player’s favour.

Would be amazed if we still get him if that article is true.

800k plus a year for a winger? Surely that's a typo. If not it's a complete lie. Canberra couldn't afford to keep Bateman for that much let alone Cotric.

Yeah the article says 2.5 million from the Raiders for three years with a player option for two more years.

I assume the muppets writing the article meant 1.5 million and not 2.5

It says Canberra offered him 2.5 million for three seasons. That has to be a mistake. Maybe they meant 1.5 million
It's for 5 seasons but the final 2 seasons are a player option.
