Of course we are desperate...failing club on and off the field in the middle of a virus crisis, no major sponsor, the only source of money still not open at capacity, a coach that has no talent to work with but seemingly no ability to coach at this level and coming last...

id say we are desperate
I would love Fifita, but to make him the highest paid forward in the game is absolutely embarrassing. Almost as if the club is desperate...

Dont forget we just got one of the so called best front rowers in the world and guess where we are playing him, at lock...say no more
That way we could keep our fullback on the wing, and move our winger who’s paying fullback to centre, to partner our other winger who’s also playing centre. Perfect, wonder why we’re running last, yep it’s cause we’ve got young guys

getting quality players being bottom of table, is a mission . Look at the Fifita debacle , apparently said yes to $1.1 at titans and now backflipping apparently .
What it shows is that players at their peak will not go to basket case clubs no matter the $$$

The only broncos dogs will he able to snatch will be their useless young or over the hill players

People...
When are we going to realize that no player of great significance is going to sign with us now
Not before we fix the coaching department !!!
So when Pearce, Ponga, Klemmer, Guerra, Mann, Moga etc signed for Newcastle they based that on them having a great coaching department?
A coaching department that after 1 or 2 years into their contracts has totally changed.
Are they now all leaving because they are playing for a different coach than the one they signed to play under?
The obvious U Turn, Ramien, left Newcastle to go back to the Sharks, to a rooky coach with zero track record.
Why do you think Holmes went to the Cowboys, money or maybe going home, both obviously had more appeal than who the coach was.

Not in any suggesting that the coach is irrelevant, but there is more than enough evidence to suggest that's it's not that high on the players list of what clubs they sign with.

650k for Oates? He'll be playing Q-Cup next season at this rate. He'd be lucky to get 300k from a club with the horrible form he's shown the last two years.
Like Foran he doesn’t deserve minimum wage with the way they are playing. Fancy blowing your load for Foran or Oates and no one else even enters the market for them!!

lock is the same as front row in todays game, they play as 3 middles.

We'd end up with someone like this:
1. Bird (Broncos contributing) - centre
2. Ofahengaue - prop
3. Milford (Broncos contributing) - fullback
We're not going to get the players Broncos want for the future.

If we signed these three, as well as a hooker (e.g. Mahoney) and maybe winger (e.g. Alex Johnston, Oates) what would we think?

So...how come we have only signed a prop from England and no top shelf players from the NRL?

Are they saving themselves for November?

Me either Ofa is not bad but Bird would have to be dirt cheap to even be a consideration. I rated Milf 3-4 years ago definitely not now .

Deardon yes.

Forwards are expendable. As good as Fifita is he is not worth it.

We need a half and a hooker.

Almost certainty Isaako would get pushed out then I’d say..
I see S.Crichton as a winger (like Tupou)... Never been the biggest fan of Isaako either. However those 2 together on and edge would be quite balanced. If they are some of our recruitment targets I wouldn't mind

They have all been poor so far this season. But he did show some promising signs in previous seasons. Would be good value for 250-350k.
