Leading NRL referee Gerrard Sutton has tested negative to coronavirus but is set to miss the next two weeks of play as he prepares to self-isolate.

Sutton has a child who attends Camden High School, where a positive test was recorded this week.

Obviously hopefully everyone at CHS is going to be ok. But other than that how many of us would consider this to be very good news? Surely the most overrated ref in the NRL...

It's easier to be billed as a leading ref when your brother is in charge of the ranks. Nepotism is a bad thing.

Hang on... didn't he ref the Thursday night game??? When was the positive result given at the school???

I know an article was posted on the 25th ( the day of the game) and school was closed Friday.

Our player who had a child at a school where a positive case was recorded was stood down immediately and has not played since ( well probably tonight) and had to undergo numerous tests to clear him...
