Can’t they just ban that player and keep the games flowing?

Ahhh shit sorry bro. You can’t even really make a day of it because the weather is awful.
Nah all good man. We’ll still have a good day. It’s just annoying it had to be the dogs game haha

At least it won't impact our turn around.

We play the sharts next week Sunday which is winnable. This Roosters game is not winnable, Robinson only rests players against poor opposition.

Tolmans test results come back at 12pm.
If he tests negative, why cant the game continue as usual or even 6pm?
What is an additional 24 hours going to do?

What if it's positive? You can't have that much uncertainly about a game going ahead only hours away from kick off.

And there we have the flaw in the NRL plan. Why one earth if they were so damned determined to get the game back up and running did they not make it that this "bubble" extended to the players not being able to live at home and be in contact with ANYONE who is not in their 50 squad. It is like a game of dominoes...push one and it it is indeed that so called 'domino effect' . Who is to say that players have not been exposed and are asymptomatic at the moment. That means that down the track if a player does test positive others who have been in contact with him from his own squad and whomever his team played the week before are at risk. Does this mean that people have to be tested EVERY day until they either show positive or are cleared? Does the initial contact become obvious immediately?

For months now it has been a "safe haven" at schools and the word was that kids can't transmit the disease so at the moment there is no self distancing in schools apart from the teachers and support staff having to practice it. ONE adult at the school tests positive and the whole joint shuts down . That can mean a lot of people are at risk...say there are 500 students who then have one or two at the very least close family contacts, possibly more, who then are in contact with one or two others etc. etc.

We now look like we may be staring at the start of the second round with cases once again cropping up here in Australia and indeed in the wet market areas in China where this whole damned thing started. To be honest I do not even know what the situation is like in the USA or Europe but taking into account how hard they were hit first round they would still be in a recovery phase quite a bit behind us...

AND don't get me started on these "peaceful" protests where they think they are not at risk.

It won’t until he leaves the club.
I guess simply ignore last week his 200+ run metres, 36 tackles and big minutes...

Do they still want to have up to 40,000 at games in two weeks or do they maybe want to slow their roll a bit?
Pretty sure it was 25% of 40k or less capacity stadiums, so max 10k crowds. Regardless this will likely slow it down.

It is what it is.

The NRL was only allowed to recommence because of these strict rules/procedures.

So this is what a stay of execution feels like.
