Lewis-34 tackles at 78.9% tackle efficiency. Not only is wakeham a better attacking half but he is the better defender so far..
He’s an underrated defender, don’t sleep on the kid when he gets a chance at the number 7 with foz next to him you will see how good he can be.

Don't bother, they just make absolute shit up to try and justify every decision the club makes. You see how Wakeham has played through the grades, how he has played for Fiji..then look at how he is utilised playing for us, absolutely disgraceful. Hasn't be given a fair opportunity to play to his strengths.

Wakeham hasn't shown anything to be viewed as a long-term 7. Sucks that there is no Reggie's this year. I was looking forward to seeing how he went leading reserves with the odd game in 1st. The game changes every year and now has changed again with new rules. A running halves pairing is important. Not sure if pay is woken up that block plays and side ways attack went out 2 years ago

The issue once again is how pay plays him,at fiji all the ball goes to wakeham he runs the show and he kills it for fiji but for some retarded reason pay has all the ball going to lewis in attack ,fmd its not rocket science lewis is a great defender play him as a defending 6 locking up his side in defense and does the odd kick but give wake all the ball in attack ,pay just always sees things the wrong way around,good bloke but a props brain

Agree. I was a pay fan and liked the signing as he worked with juniors well. But he seems to be a follower than a leader. His coaching is 3 years ago. The game has changed. On the ball 7 is the go and was moving towards thats 2 years ago, and now its a necessity. Still play split halves off the forward. Side ways football with no 9 who can engage is suicide. The juniors are our future but need the creative coach to have the guts to go the next step not safety competition rate footy to save their asses.

Pay working well with juniors is an absolute myth. He coached the junior NSW side that was absolutely stacked with talent to a couple of wins, big deal. If his name was't Pay he would be no where near the club, simple as that.

So having Anderson Moore pay isn't worth anything ..so history shows when your hire someone who isn't part of the club we ended up with no juniors , no cap and an aging team with no ability..we get clubmen back who have only the club interest, we have juniors, hard decisions made for the good of the club long term. We still lack in many areas and hiring another guy to run the team that wants instant results for career progress. Pay may not have what it takes but he is taking a hit for the club even though he looks like shit. But hey bulldog DNA is a myth .

Every club has tradition and traditional values. Every grandfinal we have won since the early 80s its been a hard aggressive no non sense pack. Understanding your junior base and people in the community make a club. The club makes the team. Des didnt care as long as the pie graph was suitable. Dib wanted to ride that success. No mistake winning after des was going to take a minimum 5 to 6 years. You can't change 30 players and build a junior system and develop 8 juniors in less than 5. We forgot what this club and tradition was about once , do you want to do it again. Pay is the only man for the last 3 yrs. He took one for the club, no other prick would take a job knowing that for 3 to 5 years you can't buy players, will rely on reserve graders and try to bring through juniors into a poorly structured team. The players probably don't have his back but pay is safe because no one will take a job knowing 2 more years of losing.
