we have to stop expecting to much from nrl players, some appear to have a lot of natural sporting ability yet lack a lot in the brain department

He was at his house I guess and didn’t fire weapons without licences or ride unregistered bikes or travel a few hours.
Might've fired his penis though? Not that it matters because he doesn't play for the Bulldogs..

Really backed the club in stance against CHN and JO. Still think they made the right choice.

Can't blame the club for sticking to their values but the NRL really has a lot to answer for over this. They had to set an example with this but completely dropped the ball. How can anyone believe that the NRL can restart with idiot players like this.

The club had no stance, they sat back and let the NRL decide because they're soft as fuck.

it will be interesting how souths and Melbourne react if they are banned for 12 months

but that all depends if the new NRL mob have the balls to do it...

Why does Cleary get less of a fine than the overs?
Honestly dont know.
Some things that may have been considered -

LM allowed someone without a permit or license to use one of his firearms.
AC operated a firearm without a permit or license.
A minister fell on his sword for travelling to his holiday house, camping and unnecessary travel is forbidden at present.
Riding motorbikes without helmets is illegal.
AC apparently also been warned twice about social distancing.
LM allowed people onto his property to camp which as stated above is forbidden at present.

Personally can't see how people can come to the conclusion that the club had no say in the JO and CHN case, but really don't see the point in going back over that for the thousandth time. I'm proud of what the club did.

Can understand the anger at the NRL in this case. I'm certainly disappointed by their weak as punishments. Can definitely see Mitchel imploading because of it and couldn't happen to a nicer guy ...

The club did fuck all, absolutely nothing to be proud of. They bottled the whole incident and were then too soft to make a call. What was stopping the club for sacking them? Absolutely nothing. So why wait for the NRL to deregister them?

The NRL is a joke and is full of inconsistencies when it comes to punishments.

Blah blah blah. I'm sure the hoards on here will be quick to applaud your views and that's fine. Don't agree with it at all, and think anyone without a chip on their shoulder can see the Dogs were the ones behind their sacking ...

Think we should honestly all just focus on this current incident rather than trying to use it to score points or try and use it to prove past arguments.

The NRL has set a terrible precedent with this as it'll happen again and again. We're kidding ourselves that these are the only cases and there won't be any more. They had to set the standard and absolutely dropped the ball. Had they at least banned them for a few games it would've at least sent a clear msg.

Nrl star Nathan Cleary has been hit with a $10,000 fine for breaching social distancing laws but will avoid suspension if he stays out of trouble for the rest of the season.

Huge financial punishments for NRL players Josh Addo-Carr and Latrell Mitchell ($50,000), Tyrone Roberts-Davis ($10,000) + 1 match suspension (suspended for the remainder of the season) 60% of the fines suspended
All good and valid points. It is like the ad on TV : Cleary found with SIX women in his home when having people other than your usual housemates over not priceless but just a $4000 fine ( after 60% suspended) AND the two stars from SOUTHS and MELBOURNE a smack with a feather duster. Yep equitable punishments considered what has been handed out to nuffies and borderline first graders....

AND did anyone see the weak and really "sincere" apologies from the two fine upstanding young men who broke heavens knows how many government directives and laws...might just as well have gotten two of the Muppets to issue an apology...

Weak as piss punishments from the NRLView attachment 14673
Well there you go.....
All the hope many people had that our game was going to get back to being The Greatest Game Of All with fuckhead Greenberg now out the door have been let down massively. What a fucking joke.
Disappointment doesn't even begin to describe this news. Disgraceful.

I’m curious to see what happens now when a bulldogs player breaks isolation rules later this week

I really hope CHN sues the guts out of the NRL, they deserve it. Bullshit double-standards.
JO stuffed up- he probably doesn't have a leg to stand on though. CHN has every right to be absolutely fucken ropeable after this news today.
