Players will def be on less money but it will change the way players pick their clubs. Will be more about going to right club to win a premiership. We def arent one of those clubs. Big pay cheques are gone and so are the lure of top notch players
The principle of playing overs still remains. If we offer more money compared to what they're on we have a chance to sign anyone (until we know the new salary cap it's anyone's guess what it'll look like). We have zero chance offering the same amount or less. A player will still decide between money and success. Which is what they already do. If clubs are able to meet in the middle of offers than a player will most likely be loyal and stay where they're (a club might not be able to do this due to their salary cap position, e.g. Broncos in theory should be pretty tight on their salary cap).

Even more reason why we should have fought to keep these two dopes at club.

Now is not the time to not fight for players.

CHN needs to take legal action against the NRL and the club. They are in no financial situation to be taken to court at the moment and for solicitors to bleed them dry.

He needs to move fast.

That's honestly wishful thinking but hey, god knows really Whats gonna happen. If clubs survive. If Nrl survives. Im talking worst case scenarios.
We cant even sign anyone decent pre virus let alone getting someone to come to a club with no halves a shit coach a poor forward pack. There is no attraction to oir club whatsoever.

All the top $$ players will end up in super league if our salary cap reduces too dramatically

Knights were able to do it. They paid overs for their players and had a shit coach. Ponga, Lee, Pearce, Klemmer, J. Brailey, Watson and a few others. We're much better of now than that Knights side before their rebuild (signing players).

I read the other day that Super league will be financially better off than the Nrl with all this virus bullshit. So that could be a strong possibility especially for mid range players..

They paid 600k from memory to an unknown fullback. They paid overs for Hodkinson. They only bought Pearce coz of Cronk going to roosters. Now that Salary cap going down to as low as 6mil that puts their spending into disarray. Brown shits all over Pay and that is saying something...

Not an unknown fullback. A fullback that everyone could see had a lot of potential and they were not the only club chasing Ponga. It would be like us signing Harry Grant now but on a smaller scale (similar to when we signed Lichaa). Sometimes they work out, sometimes they don't. Now we look at it and they got Ponga for cheap. A top five fullback on that money for a few years before getting an upgrade. Hodkinson was great for us but obviously wasn't the man to carry a whole team of shitters on his back (this is before they recruited all the names I mentioned). I was really upset when we lost Hodkinson and I want to make other teams feel that way about their players. Other clubs were in for Pearce. Lets say the salary cap did go down to 6m. All that changes is Pearce being on 1m goes to ~600k (and this is across the league for every player). Players recruited in the future will be in accordance to the new salary cap.

Cotric and Fafita along with Thompson would be nice. We desperately need a hooker though...

Jake Friend is the only hooker off contract that we have a small chance in signing. At this stage it looks like we're going to be stuck with JMK and Katoa. Storm have loaned Harry Grant to get him back and if that changes he's most likely signing with the Tigers now. Hopefully we're able to get someone still on contract that's decent...

Super League are not immune to this thing though
Super League is being played now? If so they'll have same issues as NRL, no? And the virus is going to really hit England hard so think there's a good chance we could get more players coming this way?

I have no idea, I just figured their season is still off from when it was initially pulled... Might be time for us to swoop when this thing blows ova
