I've seen Gone Girl. I wasn't a big fan of it.
Without sounding like that wanker who says this all the time: the book was much better than the film.

Shame the libraries are closed, I could Do with some books to read.

I've got a whole bookshelf of unread books and novels. Used to be a massive book reader but then life happened and most spare time I have go into other things.

Probably the weakest in the list alongside they live, it's fresh in my mind because I just saw it.

you aren't implying that's the only one you've seen in the list I hope?
Believe it or not, that is the only one I've seen. I've wanted to watch Pulp Fiction and Goodfellas, but considering I got Netflix, ceebs-mode kicks in anytime I plan on watching something not currently on NF... except for the films in my DVD collection.

Have you got an iOS device? If so just launch the Books app and go crazy. Plenty of free stuff and audio books. If you're into True Crime (I'm not), there's plenty of TC podcasts as well.

Actually I have an app to download audio books from my library. I forgot all about that.

I can't read books on a phone. I tried an e reader once but it's just not the same as reading a book.

The joe rogan experience is pretty sweet, he does some awesome in depth interviews with some interesting people. Opens your eyes to a lot of things going on in the world, And he also has a good laugh as well.

anthology of six short films that take place in 19th-century post-Civil War era during the settling of the Old West.

A visually stunning film, with asute direction the Coen bros are accustomed to. I think the biggest problem with this is a few of the stories fall flat and seem to offer very little in the overall arching plot, in saying that they are still very well acted and gorgeous to look at.

Yeah I am a fan of his podcast. I try to listen or watch them when I can. I still wish Dave Chappelle would go on Joe's podcast though.

That's really bad! But at the same time you're in a juicy spot to be very intertwined during lockdown.
Pulp fiction is literally shown on Go every few weeks, SBS is in love with broadcasting 'the thing' and Crow pops up every few months.

as you can see I lean towards the thriller but not just.

you seem to lean toward at the newer movies from why I can tell.
I don't think you've genuinely seen much good cinema. Id actually love to be you atm!

If I had to recommend some movies to watch while in quarantine a few that spring to mind are.
The Shawshank redemption
The green mile.
Lantana.
The usual suspects.
The sixth sense.
Momento.
Shawn of the dead.
Cast away.

Memento* is also a great one. But you need to focus when watching.

The Platform

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8228288/

A vertical prison with one cell per level. Two people per cell. One only food platform and two minutes per day to feed from up to down. An endless nightmare trapped in The Pit.

This movie was recently added to Netflix and currently sits as the #4 movie in Australia. So I watched it. Basically, it's a vertical prison hundreds of floors deep. The cells consist of 2 beds and a sink & mirror. Once a day, a platform full of food lowers itself floor by floor through a hole in each cell. This one food platform will stay on a floor for 2 minutes to allow the prisoners to eat as much as they can during that time. The problem is this ONE food platform must be enough for the prisoners over hundreds of floors IF they rationalise their share. Basically, this movie makes all other prison movies look completely soft. Unique movie.

With porn sites offering free premiums and alike, be nice to see Foxtel release some freebies for customers? Anyone heard anything?

I got an email telling me I now had access to a bunch of extra channels. Flicking through my channel list, it appears I now have all the doco channels and some others - pretty much everything except the movie channels.

Mickey Pearson is an American expatriate who became rich by building a highly profitable marijuana empire in London. When word gets out that he's looking to cash out of the business, it soon triggers an array of plots and schemes -- including bribery and blackmail -- from shady characters who want to steal his domain.

Snappy cockney dialogue, taking a style over substance approach that pays off well.
A few characters really annoyed me, but that was the point. Matthew McConaughey was great as were Colin Farrell, Charlie Hunnam and surprisingly Hugh Grant in their respective roles.

Overall, this is Guy Ritchie's best film since revolver imo

So i went on a movie binge last night and watched like 4 movies in a row.

hobbsandshaw.jpg

Hobbs And Shaw was enjoyable and i like the banter between the characters. Plus i am a big fan of The Rock.

Again, i didn't mind it as i love Tarantino movies. I felt this was a little different but you could tell it was a Tarantino movie. I probably enjoyed the backend of the movie as apposed to the whole thing. It has it's moments.

Scarface_-_1983_film.jpg

Scarface, what can I say about it except it's a classic. A personal favorite of mine.

This was an interesting one. The premise of the movie is a teenage girl and her younger brother must survive a wild 24 hours during which a mass hysteria of unknown origin causes parents to turn violently on their own kids. It's a horror movie with tones of a black comedy I'd say.

He’s also smoking joints in some clips, enjoy his style.
