just trying to gauge how good our players are.

I have a theory you see. That our players are actually really good. The issue is we don't offset the good with the marquee.

So let's rate and see where we land.

Here's the barometer in which to judge.

DWZ- 6/10
Solid player but by fullback standards he isn't great. He backs up well and mows the fly but that's all really. Not a Turbo or Ponga which is what u need at the back
Reimis- 7/10
Fast! Does the job.
Holland- 8/10
Very solid. Quick, tackles well, good football brain, amazing ability to crack lines. The player with the most line breaks of 2018. Good role model and kicks goals.
Hoppa- 6/10
He's ok, just slow. Good footy brain but doesn't bust a groove
5- Meaney 6/10
Fast, technically correct just a small size
6- Lewis 7.5/10
Great tackler, creates in attack. Kicks high. Fights hard. Amazing.
7- Foran 10/10
The Complete package and can deliver us from evil and win a comp if we can get him fot and firing
8- Napa 6.5/10
Bought as a marquee but has found his place in the upper middle management class
9- JMK 7/10
Fast and smooth
10- Tolman 5/10
Just that guy that is glue between the forward pack and like filler. 'Kylie Jenner' type.
11. Jackson 6.5/10
He is ok but not sensational

Lewis is a 3-4/10 good defender.. doesn’t create anything in attack..

Townsend is an organiser and a kicker. Moses is a runner.
Yin and yang. Two bodies coming together as one. That's why we were good in the Hokko (Like Townsend) and Reynolds (like Moses) days.

teams are all about balance.

But ignoring that, we have no one even close to a 10. That is a massive issue. All of the top teams have 2-3 players near that level and they are in key positions.

The point of this thread, and in hindsight maybe it's too much hard work, was to gauge our total and compare it to the best, Souths, easts, Brisbane and Melb.

my philosophy is we aren't far off the top 4. If we made #threechanges.
With #threechanges + Luke Thompson's arrival. I think we are good. The three must be value added additions but.
A big boy, a marquee half and a strike centre.

Basically. Teams need 3. We have 1, if Holland was not mismanaged it would be 2, but as it stands we have 1. And he's made of glass. Quality European glass, but glass.
