Is it even alive now???? Maybe this is the reality check the game needs. If, as advised by the NRL commission many years ago, they kept reserves of 50 million each year from rights etc. they would be in a far better position to overcome what may be thrown at them now...

Well the question is where is the money going or gone?

Needs to be picked apart by a independent person. The fans will warrant answers if it crashes and burns to the ground.

Press conference suggestion by our illustrious leaders SELF ISOLATION for every player meaning NO CONTACT EVEN WITH FAMILY MEMBERS....for however long it lasts.....

They are going to persist and nothing will stop them; every other major sport overseas has made the conscious decision to put the game aside for the time being...Lol listen to the audio and you will hear plenty of coughs and clearing throats especially where the question was asked about isolation for staff and press etc.....

After this I'm already planning to start Hacky McAxe Airlines. May as well start a Rugby League comp as well. But we'll use Axes instead of Balls.

More 'cut out' passes being thrown than ever before.

Independent person reviewing an independent commission. This Rugby league independent commission is not too independent.

Might get some professional, expert sports presenters and journos instead of the gossip hound duds we have now.
This is very good news and could not have come at a better time for the code.

http://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/we-...ox-sports-for-nrl-rights-20200318-p54bc9.html

Global sports broadcasting giant ESPN has told the NRL it wants to be at the table when the code opens its new television rights negotiations later this year in a move that could have major ramifications on the future of Fox Sports.

With Fox Sports, which on Wednesday announced up to 20 job cuts in its news division, already concerned about losing subscribers should the NRL be forced to call of its season due to the coronavirus pandemic, news of ESPN's interest in entering the market place could not have come at a worse time.

If it means the end of Murdoch's gouging business model for Foxtel than I'm all for it.

Trust me mate, don’t.
You’ve probably heard this one but how do you become a millionaire? Start as a billionaire and open an airline...

They need to house all the players in Sydney somewhere, and they only travel to games or training and back. It would cost a bit, but nothing compared to the cost of suspending the season for months or more. It may be tough for some players, but if they want to keep earning the big bucks they need to make the sacrifice. If the game is suspended, they may earn a lot less for years to come.

It comes as no surprise. Greenturd was handing out massive fines to our club trying to recoup money for the NRL. Our club is financially strong and he saw it as a cash cow for the incompetent NRL.

Vlandys has no idea. What makes him think that the Government will consider NRL an essential service?? Delusions of grandeur and shitting the nest because the incompetent NRL don't have money available to prop themselves up for a week let alone months.....

I don't think suspending the NRL is necessary yet. They have the players effectively quarantined, and there isn't any infected players yet.

If u see a couple of players getting it maybe maybe pause the nrl a few weeks and see if any more players get it. The situation is fluid so a week to week proposition. They don't have to commit to 2 months off like the afl, which imo was overdoing it, at this stage.

We will get round 3, but if we lose this one Against benjis tigers then it’s really not good,

but from all the talk, it sounds to me nrl will push through an carry on, and I’m ok with that, isolation and no league to watch on the weekends... NO THANKS.!!

You read it here first.

" The year is 2021. 90% of the world is infected with COVID19.

An investigation was launched to find where the major spike in April 2020 came from. After much work, it was pinned down to some globally small and unknown sport called Rugby League. Run by the NRL. Where all sports across the world were suspended on simple logic, NRL failed to follow.

NRL CEOs and fellow senior staff have been charged with murder for their lack of care to basic health measures. Which has resulted in many cases of death.

The so-called expert health advisor appointed at the time was exposed to be non-other than Vlandys himself. Scooby and the gang exposed him by removing his mask and finding the devil Vlandys under it. It was too obvious when you think about it as all the world had the same expert advice and shut down, except the NRL.

We reached out to some ex-players, and most of them said that they were forced to play or risk being sacked. Some even said that Vlandys held their families hostage.

They're blind selfishness will not be forgotten or forgiven. Ever."

They are making a announcement at 6 sounds like they might be out of options now.
