NZ Prime Minister made a rule that anyone entering the country has to self isolate for 14 days. That means NRL teams would have to get there over 2 weeks before their game against the Warriors which is not realistic. Either the Warriors have to base themselves in Australia for the whole season or they will be out of the NRL competition.

Just suspend the comp you can’t have a whole team away from their families for a unknown period of time. Sooner or later (probably sooner) a player is going to get infected and they’ll have to shut it down anyway.

Might be the only way Kearney keeps his job.

I think it’s only a matter of time until the comp is suspended

They'd be no great loss. Rest them and the Titans for 2020 and go with 14 teams.
Then consider at the end of the season whether those 2 offer the comp anything whatsoever.

Bad idea to remove our competitors for the spoon.

Crazy shit. I think the best option for them is to just not leave Australia, which sucks for the warriors and their families but would be the most logical way forward.

Warriors have nothing this year, I said it before a game was played, they don’t have the intelligence to win games, may as well just stay in Aussie an keep losing.. just to make up the numbers an keep the comp going.

They offer any opposition two easy competition points.

That's about it

Warriors will be based in the Gold Coast for now.

Is the NRL trying to merge them with the Titans to make 1 half decent team?

In all seriousness this is unacceptable from a player welfare perspective. Keeping players away from their families is a violation of basic human rights and would put huge strain on players mentally. Clearly the NRL only care about the bottom line and not player welfare.

Also, Herbert and Hiku have gone home to be with their young families. Both players started against Newcastle and their Reserves team is back in NZ and will be stuck there.

So how can the Warriors replace these two players or anyone else that gets injured or sick or heads home? Why make them play against their will with Q Cup replacements that aren't NRL standard? How is that fair?

Won't make much difference with the Warriors though. Hell they might even play better a few players short. The show must go on.

What do they do when they start getting injuries and suspensions though? They'll be playing guys off the street by round 4. If we get to round 4 that is. Which I doubt we will..

IMO if the NRL manages to keep playing in the next month or so it is a massive opportunity to expand its fan base. Life is pretty boring without sport to watch TBH, people probably will watch whatever sport is still up and running.
