its only round 1 and way to early to declare anything about any team

but watching them play last night and looking at their team, have the broncos got the makings of a top team in the coming years based on the amount of quality young players they have in their system, they are moving on the old players rebuilding with youth.
having so many qcup teams in their control leaves plenty of decent young players left hanging

they got top young forwards
their halves are on the right track
hooker position covered
centers nearly there
fullback is really the only position left to fill

Yeah if they can keep them all together, they will win a premiership for sure.

They look ominous, but they also had most of these players last year too, so underperformed massively last year imo. IMO they have the best team on paper in the comp.

Croft at halfback is the big difference as it gives them an actual halfback and allows Turpin to play hooker and Milf in the 6. Boyd being fucked off to centre also improves the FB role so their spine in this moments has a lot of what you need if you want to consistently beat sides.

Val was in 2nd gear in a crucial role. From memory (watchin highlights) he let a few in. He was the difference. Not to take anything away from the broncs. Theyre youngsters are elite guns on the other hand, Seibold.......

They’re on the up for sure, Haas and Fifita are budding superstars, and they’ve got an intelligent coach who recognized their main deficiency was game management so he went and bought a dominant half.
Yes I’m having a dig at the Bulldogs who have been rudderless for the last 4 years and hand the reins of the team over to Lewis who’s skill set is abominable

To be fair though, our biggest deficiency now is game management and we have Foran on the books. Foran when playing is better than Croft. Croft is an improvement for them though. If we can get a like for like player for forans money in the halves, that doesnt get injured a lot, we will be in good shape.

I think Lewis, Cogger and Wakeham are all a tier below players like Foran. They are all assistants. Theres no leader among them. Thats our problem.

They don't have the best spine tho. Bird/Isaako, Milford, Croft, Turpin vs Tedesco, Keary, Flanagan, Friend or Papenhuyzen, Munster, Hughes, Smith or Latrell, Walker, Reynolds, Cook. They have the best forward pack tho and Staggs will be a top centre in their backs.

My goodness, the broncs have a fearsome pack. Unfortunately for doggies fans, Dean Pay prefers plodders... ffs Pay needs to go. Why haven't we uncovered the likes of pangai junior, fifita and so on? Fark that shits me that we can't identify talent anymore

They played a team that was pathetic last night though.
Will reserve judgement until they have played the top teams away from QLD.
Bottom of top 8 IMO.

Lot's of great individual performances last night. If they can get their shit together, teamwork wise, then they'll be major handful for any team. That's assuming there's more than 1 rd in this years comp.
