1. DWZ (run more inside lines like the one later in the game). More support play
2. Meaney (get more involved e.g. support play) kick goals as well
3. Harper (quick play the balls, strong runs out of our end)
4. Hoppa (get a few offloads away) get him involved in more sweep plays with his silky hands
5. Smith (Get him across the strip with some bombs, cross field kicks, cut out balls)
6. Lewis (give Wakeham more ball, more kick variety and do inside balls to quicker guys, not Tolman or Napa)
7. Wakeham (get more involved in attack, more kicks, try to put some back-rowers though holes)
8. Napa- keep it up, playing well (big hits and strong runs)
9. JMK (run it more and put the odd sneaky kick out of dummy half)
10. Toomaga (More offloads to support runners when it is on and quick play the balls)
11. Jackson (more of round 1 preformance)
12. Fatala-Mariner (hit some good lines with footwork and look to offload to some quick support runners)
13. Elliot (keep it up, great hits and strong running)
14. Cogger (bring him on for JMK when tired or for a half if they arent performing)
15. Britt (get a few more offloads going)
16. Tolman (use him to strengthen the defence but let the other more powerful runners make the metres)
17. Ogden (Hit hard and run harder) or give Stimson another crack

I doubt there will be any changes unless Napa and Crichton cop a few weeks.

DWZ was very shaky under the high ball tonight. Reimis had some good runs. Hoppa didn't touch it enough. Meaney did nothing. Hopefully Averillo replaces Chrichton.

Tolman playing the first 50 minutes straight and taking two hitups a set for 3 metre gains kills me. I can't take another full season of it. Please play Renouf and RFM more.

Stimson should be dropped. Britt was solid. Elliott was a non factor again. Jackson did nothing and three more years of this production is hugely concerning. Napa was solid but tried to put too many shots on.

Pay won't drop Lewis. Wakeham needs to be first receiver and do all the kicking while Lewis told to just tackle.

Holland on the bench was a waste. Pay's use of the interchange was shocking tonight.

Katao needs to play 9. Lewis to 6. Wakeham or Cogger to 7. JMK looked slow tonight and Lewis was crap in attack. Inside ball or short ball to plodman, fucks sake.

But yeah not even sure that will make much difference.

We missed CHN badly tonight. We lacked alot of punch upfront.

There will be no changes. I'd like Crichton out and Averillo or Harper in (but Reimis isn't going to move from centres which probably rules Harper out). Lewis is going to get more of a run before he's dropped. If Lewis doesn't perform and Cogger does in reserve grade he'll get his opportunity. Just saying Wakeham wasn't good tonight either.

Elliott was close to if not the best forward on the park

How I'd tweak Pay's 17 for round 2, since he won't switch things up too much anyway:

1. DWZ
2. Meaney
3. R Smith
4. Hoppa
5. Averillo (Crichton will probably miss games anyway)
6. Wakeham
7. Lewis / Cogger (Lewis will be picked, but it was painful watching him run/pass this game)
8. Tolman
9. Katoa (Should have been somewhere in the starting 17)
10. Napa
11. Jackson (C)
12. Stimson
13. Elliott

14. JMK
15. Britt
16. To'omaga
17. Ogden (More punch going forward)

Sterlo said it best about our hookers.

Katoa to start, JMK on bench as Katoa service better (did anyone see how many forward passes JMK did?) and bring on JMK as a running hooker when opposition defense tires

Thought our forwards were great. Put some shots on and won the physical battle.
Seriously if they keep defending like that wel make the finals. Challenge is to keep their heads up and keep turning up. Wel score points. Neither team could s core tonight parra got a flukey try. Look at parras back 5 ffs. If we had that strike we win by 40. Like our pack and plus we got Ogden and chn to add to the line up.
I'm actually pumped for a big year.

Jmks first hit out. Give him a chance to get fit and get his running game going.

JMK does have a running game. He showed it tonight when Parra tired out a bit.
His forward passes were in the first half, his service isn’t exactly brilliant

What? He had 8 runs for 60 metres... Paulo was the only forward who had much of an impact. It was a dour game all around.

Glad to see this thread as I didn't want to be that guy lol so thankyou.

1. Meaney (higher skill ceiling, boy can catch unlike some and looks to have gotta stronger)
2. DWZ (no Okunbur means we need him on second tackle carries out of our red zone)
3. Harper (so Smith isn't centre)
4. Hopoate (left edge)
5. Smith (left edge)
6. Wakeham (left edge)
7. Cogger (best organiser we have, let Wakeham take control in opp 20 though on backline shifts)
8. Napa
9. JMK
10. Tolman
11. Jackson (would like him at lock but he can stay and be the rock between Cogger and Harper)
12. Stimson (left edge)
13. Elliot (kid played hard tonight I do think given his smaller frame and aggressive line running may be better suited to the edge, but he stays here for now)

14. Averillo (straight up he's the X factor we need when we are void of ideas like we were tonight, let the kid follow the ball)
15. RFM
16. To'Omaga
17. Britt

Note all the players listed as left edge. That's how we score our points, deep backline shift on the 4th, no shitty settlers organised by Lewis.. clean crisp service to Wakeham to let him dictate play with a great lines runner in Stimson with silky hands of Hoppa and the finishing of Smith with Meaney looming in support for whatever option we hit.

Will be a hard choice to figure out who to drop if and when CHN comes back as all our forwards had a crack
