Yeah we should have no problem finding a sponsor like pornhub..

Fairdinkum, I am gutted, have been pumped for a couple of weeks now in anticipation of the season starting.

This is a strike 2, for the current board.

Surely they would have a minder or security guard to look after the boys on road trips.

It would have certainly put a stop to the girls coming back to the hotel.

Did we not have this in place previously?? The minders..

The club have a responsibility to protect the players, from groupies etc etc, ( we don't know all the facts) the brand and us supporters from this utter garbage.

Its a big fail from me.
Lol.
It's the clubs fault, that they didn't babysit the 24 year old men closely enough?

What’s worse is the fact we have no decent CEO, board or senior players strong enough to lead us through this. Even all our current office staff are all new and in experienced because all the previous experienced people were sacked in order to give jobs for the boys. There is no way Rashays will stay sponsoring now, and even if they do it would be for a petty sum
Stop trying to push your board agenda through another thread. What happened last off season has nothing to do with them. Those big papi videos that were leaked were from years ago.
The board cant control random idiotic acts by the players. Im sure they have been educated and should know better. They should of learnt these life lessons before playing football. For all we know all this happened without the staffs knowledge anyway. The board members and staff are not going to sit at the players doors nor the security. You have to treat players like adults and hope they act the same.
Lets wait and see what actually happened before we burn the players on a stake. Alls thats been reported by the club is that they have been stood down and its not criminal and now laws have been broken, just that code of conduct broken. Its the media that have speculated as they normally do.
If it does end up being all correct well then im sure the board will step up and act on it.
Hopefully the players get the help and support needed to. On top of this it was also reported that the parents did not complain, so given that lets hope its not as serious as being portrayed!

When you have an information vacuum, people will invariably fill it up with shit.
Why doesn't everyone take a step back from the edge and wait till the entire story is revealed?

Just another black eye for Dean Pay’s leadership (or lack of) also where was the leadership group among the players surely Jacko or Tolman would have given them a tap up the back of the head if they had a wif of it?

I guess it will just turn in to an excuse for pay after we get lapped by parra and probably an excuse for another poor season, the board can use it as an excuse for no sponsorship

Unlike the Napa and Elliot incidents which were sensationalized by the media, this was the club that initiated the breach of conduct proceedings.
I'm guessing that after they ran their own investigations, they could not surpress the truth. For them to alert the NRL integrity unit and with careful consideration of the players and club's welfare, speaks volumes of the nature of the breach.
The truth will come out and players might be sacked, but this is another sad and challenging moment our club must face once again. I'm devastated it's my club.

All my comments are essentially assuming the facts based on the information out there at the moment. Obviously if it comes out that the boys ran into the 17 year old girls at the pub completely unrelated to their time visiting the school as club ambassadors then I'll have no issue with the situation. If it is what it looks like then I'll never support these two creeps in the blue and white again. Just have to wait and see I guess.

Blame shouldn't be on the club or board at all. It should rest entirely on the two players. Even though the board, club and fans will also cop it because of these idiots

I just don't know what the club can do anymore. I mean these boys are visiting a school ffs. How could the even imagine they'd be stupid enough for this?

But, it's their job too so I hope theyr very open and transparent with the results of their investigation.

Agreed I can't imagine what more they could do to avoid this situation. The days of sweeping stuff under the rug and keeping it in-house are long over. They've done the right thing by bringing it to the NRL so that we avoid a potential catastophe if it came out in the future

I would find it quite disturbing if a guest was brought into the school to say give a motivational speech or something and the same thing happened

Same problem why a 21 year old teacher just out of Uni can't do this with a student of age

Gone?
Dafuq?
This'll be a fine and a couple of match suspension. You cant fire someone for effectively, going on a date.
Lol.
Lol i guess we'll see won't we..
But this isnt your run of the mill sexual encounter or date if u will.
If they have met these girls at the school there are strict guidelines around this behaviour.
Its a terrible look and will ruin what little positives we had for this season again
Weve lost our best forward and someone who would have started, this is after having it all stacked against us
I cant imagine anyone would be happy with this if it were their daughter niece or cousin.

Here’s what I know so far, not what I guessing or speculating, they broke the Bulldogs players code of conduct by taking females back to their hotel rooms while away on a club event. The Bulldogs code of conduct aligns with the NRL’s, and as such was reported appropriately. No laws were broken, no complaints issued and no other misconduct was reported.

By breaking the Bulldogs code of conduct they are subject to the penalties within. Having also broken the NRL code of conduct they are equally subject to their penalties. Breaches of codes of conduct without any illegal activities is uncommon, so there’s not a lot of precedent. Fines are the most often used punishment, together with community service plus re education on their expected conduct, noting that they have already been stood down for a game. Since we self reported it and stood down the players it’s unlikely (but not impossible) that the club will be fined or suffer a salary cap reduction.

If what we know is all there is then I’d expect to see them fined a decent amount, a couple of hundred hours of community service and some compulsory education. Plus admit their failures and publically apologise to any others involved, their fellows players, the club, the NRL, the fans and the general public. No excuses, just wear it.
