In theory Holland can play centre, wing and hooker. Not going with Katoa potentially suggests JMK will get closer to 80 minutes. A lot of teams are running a back on the interchange due to HIA (just look through the other teams it's becoming a common trend).

I would think Holland’s minutes will be minimal. He might run on because I doubt king will have the legs to play 80. Especially with an interrupted offseason.

I’m surprised crighton gets a run. Where did he come from? Has he done anything in the off-season that forced his selection? (Internationals or killed it at the 9s or trials?) I guess it shows how might we are in the outside Backs when a Debutant or crighton are the only options.

I think Averillo has shown more than Crichton and we could of even moved Reimis to the wing to bring Harper in. I really dislike Crichton and I really didn't want to see him in our jersey again. He'll have to change my mind before I think otherwise.

He is there as a utility, not a "back up hooker" per say. Katoa can only play one position. Pretty straight forward really.

I'm not saying he should be picked over kotoa, but from memory he did offer something off the bench in 2018 hopefully he can produce that kind of form.

I'd prefer a different option to Holland on the bench, and who knows, that might still happen. But if Holland is on the bench Thursday night wearing our colours he should be supported as much as any of our players and hopefully he does his job.

Kerrod Holland is not a bad player, he's had some good moments and good games.
I have a feeling Pay likes to make players earn their position in the 17.
Eg. holding Averillo back behind Chrihton
Katoa behind Holland
