The NFL only looks after white people and looks down on people of colour?? Not sure that there is any factual evidence of this TBH.
What is that absurd statement actually based on? Interested to know.
When you look at sport in America you have to have a look at the bigger picture. So ask yourself a few questions -

Who runs it? Goodell, white man (never being a man of colour who ran it)
Who owns it? All owners are white (there has never being an owner of colour), these guys choose who runs it, not only that, they choose who wins it as well.
If you look at the history of the sport, it's predominantly played by men of colour, yet you get a handful of head coaches who are not white.
The quarterback is predominantly white, protected by an offensive line that's mainly with players of colour.
Have a look at the link below, interesting read. Also do some research on your own on the NFL and other sports.

It is still a massive bow to draw to state that the NFL looks down on people of colour
The Superbowl starting quarterbacks list shows 6 players, out of which only 2 won the Superbowl (33%) so maybe that statistic really does support the statement made by that Texan superintendent in the last paragraph. Coloured athletes in the NFL (and NRL for that matter) are revered for their instinctive off-the-cuff play more than their precision, percentage-play under pressure. How many Indigenous players that have played 1st grade RL are known for their tactical playmaking abilities more so than their natural flair? I cannot think of one, Thurston might classify.
As far as white men (quarterbacks) being protected by black men (offensive line) I highly doubt these black men are being used as "cannon fodder" to preserve a white man's health and wellbeing. It is commonly recognised that coloured athletes have better athletic capabilities (think Olympic 100m sprinters, when was the last time a white man won that?!), so that would be the main reason that black men are more suited to that. Some of those 300lb guys move like lightning.
Think of some of the most celebrated linebackers in the history of the NFL, a position where size mixed with power and speed is THE biggest pre-requisite and you will find the majority are coloured (Lawrence Taylor, Reggie White, Charles Haley etc).
So when everything is analysed down to the miniscule detail like it is in the NFL, maybe coloured blokes are more suited to the power and outright athleticism roles (off and def line, linebackers, wide receiver, cornerback) more so than split second decision making of a quarterback? Not sure it all boils down to racism.
The most iconic man in the history of basketball is black as well.

I’ve only got 2 jerseys. 38 Hayne and 7 Kaepernick

I know which one I’ll be wearing Monday.
I'm hoping the answer to that is the last QB that took you to a Superbowl lol

I agree, in this situation though, the kneeling represents a peaceful way of standing up for the oppression going on against the people of colour, specifically police brutality!

"land of the thieves and the home of the slaves." Couldn't have said it better myself!

Bit early to be calling that. He is good yes but Montana and Brady would have a bit to say about that. Even guys like Brees, Manning and Roethlisberger are ahead of him at this stage (not saying he wont be better than them just saying at this stage he isnt)

No it isn't early to call that. He does things no other QB has ever done. Brady isn't in the top 5 most talented qb ever. Swap Brady and Rivers for their carees and Brady has 0 rings. Aaron Rodgers is number 2. Montana 3.

I'm talking most talented not greatest. Brady is the GOAT because he has 6 rings.

Mahomes ain’t that great. 49ers choked. The running game was killing the chiefs, why the fuck would they go away from that and start throwing Hail Marys at 2 and 5 just past halfway at the 2 minute warning? Run the ball and they win the superbowl, chiefs don’t get a look in.

Kyle Shanahan, second super bowl fix! Hopefully he gets rewarded a couple of super bowls for his efforts (with 49ers)!
