A member of one of the all time greatest comedy teams and director of some of the funniest movies filmed. Highly respected documentary filmmaker and children's author too, I understand. The world has lost a great talent.

Very sad to hear he was in a bad way for 3 years. I grew up on Monty Python, I still love it as much now as I did then.

Yeah some of my best childhood memories involve watching Python with my Dad. Still just as funny today. Timeless absurdist brilliance.

Just found out.. He was brilliant...didn’t know he actually directed, other than acted in, the masterpiece ‘Life of Brian’.. A brilliant comedian..especially when dressed as a woman.. RIP Mr Jones..

Wasn't huge on Monty Python, but of course recognised their importance on comedy.

Tonight I saw Michael Palin talking about his obviously great mate Terry. It was heartbreaking to see.
