The club has to be careful how it spends its money. Money is still limited.
I cannot understand why we would consider paying big bucks for a winger, when a winger is way down our list of priorities.
Save the money and try and find a good centre.
Alot of people won't agree, but Josh would be heaps more valuable for our club off the field. Funny likeable guy, good for culture and would be great to have around training

Didn’t cogger finish the season on the bench not even getting a run? Don’t see how that’s his pet?
If anything he’d be getting starts over Lewis if he was his pet.
Pay apparently has more pets than the RSPCA

i have a feeling they are banking on reimis becoming our new centre and then bringing addo carr into his wing spot. Reimis has played quite a bit of centre in reggies so would be interesting to see how he fares in NRL

That might be true. But how do you justify the expense for a winger.

Cause Jacks is shit and they are losing backs and probably want to shift Hughes into the back 5 somewhere
lets hope so anyway
Lewis is garbage
What you’re saying doesn’t match the moves the Storm actually made.
You might not rate Jacks or Hughes at half but the Storm must have felt good enough about both of them to move Hughes to half and release Croft to Brisbane.

No point having a gun winger and centre combo if we have shit halves.

The storm have shown, if your core is correct, you can slot any half wit in a spot and they’ll look good.

As I mentioned in the rumours thread Bellamy signed some average playmakers in the past including Ben Roberts so it's not that far fetched.
I often wonder why he couldn't make croft work,be interesting to see how he goes at the gronks.

Well we need a winger imo. We have 2 long term solutions there in Smith and DWZ imo, but they wish to play elsewhere so we kinda have no choice. I know alot of people want to gamble on Okunbur, but his defence on the edge cost us 2 wins... A specialist who can find the line is needed so long as it isn't more than 600k

I'm not sure about "way down our list of priorities". We still need two backs that'll make a difference - preferably a centre first but we're going to experiment with Reimis there. Strengthening our hooker position is almost impossible now (for 2021) unless someone on contract pops up. There are some Prop options still available (Thompson could be that signing). JAC in the best winger in the game if the price is right there's no reason why we shouldn't.

Lachlan Lewis linked to Melbourne Storm in Josh Addo-Carr trade
Lewis has been linked to the Storm as part of a player swap for the Bulldogs to pick up a homesick Addo-Carr.

Canterbury are interested in talking to the Melbourne flyer, however they aren’t willing to release their five-eighth to secure his signature.

The Storm are prepared to release Addo-Carr on compassionate grounds after the 2020 season to return to Sydney — as long as they receive compensation.

This will be in the form of a player swap or a transfer fee.

At this point, Addo-Carr will remain at Melbourne for this season unless a deal is done with a rival club.

Canterbury officials are monitoring the situation, as they would love to add more strike to their backline to become a genuine contender.

The Bulldogs would consider a player swap to secure Addo-Carr, but they are reluctant to release an influential spine player like Lewis.

The nephew of Queensland legend Wally Lewis is contracted at Belmore until the end of the 2021 season.

He will be crucial to Canterbury achieving success this season, especially with veteran playmaker Kieran Foran sidelined with a shoulder injury.

Foran’s sling has been removed and he is back completing light duties at training as part of his long rehabilitation.

The former New Zealand Test representative is off-contract and facing a battle to revive his career.

Canterbury will give Foran as long as he needs to recover in the hope that he can play again to try and pick up a new contract.

The Bulldogs aren’t the only Sydney club being linked to Addo-Carr.

The Wests Tigers have also been connected to the Blues and Storm winger.

Addo-Carr made his NRL debut with the Tigers in 2016, playing nine games before signing a three-year contact at Melbourne.

Imagine the only reason we don't sign JAC is because we don't want to release Lewis. Lol.
