So while we are at it...which coach is off contract and ready to go for 2021?
Tbh, I haven’t looked that far ahead. I used to know every coach and every player were at with the contracts but NRL has fizzled out for me. I only watch Bulldogs games now and maybe 10% of other games.

Addo Carr has done more grubbers to himself on the wing than Lewis has done from the halves in his whole career

Can you imagine the meltdown on the Kennel if the swap happens and Bellyache turns Lachie into a rep player? ‘Why did we ever let him go??’ ‘Board a joke!’ ‘Sack everyone!’ Sigh...
Yes.. but anything is possible.. have to take a risk, could go either way. But for mine the risk is worth it.

How anyone would want to swap Lewis is beyond me, puts 100 percent in, helped us win so many games last year due to his defence and sometimes unorthodox passing I.e eels game and broncos game. Guy will be the one who got away. Why do we need ado Carr ? We got Meaney and smith on the wings.. and dwz out back

If Addo care comes we would really like signing and playing big name Josh's. Jacko, Moz, Renoylds.

I can see why Bellamy would want Lewis.. With Croft leaving, they're thin in halves and if Bellamy could play guys like Ryley Jacks dozens of games in a few seasons, Bellamy would love a defensive rock like Lewis..

This might be a good deal for both teams if there's any truth to it. We need a genuine gamebreaker and our attack was horrible whenever Lewis played. Sure Cogger and Wakeham aren't a great defensive combo but at least we'd be a threat to put on points whenever we have the ball..

Personally losing Lewis puts us skinny in halves and if Lewis learns to run with the ball he goes from a goodish player to career NRL player. Having a half that can actually defend is a rarity too. I would be disappointed if they swapped him for addo carr.

Keep Lewis..... we are ok for Wingers.
We have Meaney whose a Fullback, Reimis who reckons he's a Centre and Okunbor whose played just about everywhere.

Plenty of spare part players - not a lot of specialists, plenty of effort players - not a lot of skillful players.

With respect, I strongly suggest that you rewatch the Broncos game. Say, 3 minutes into the first half, Lewis set up the first try for Meaney with a superb 20 metre cut out pass. How about 8 minutes in when Lewis kicks long and gains 70 metres, earning a line drop out. How about the 10 minute mark where he slips a short pass to Elliott who the Donkeys have to tackle high to stop, earning a penalty & 2 points. Best of all, 10 minutes into the 2nd half with the brilliant vision and then kick for Meaney to score. Not to mention at 18 minutes that short perfectly timed pass to Hopoate that gave him the time and space to throw the cut out to Meaney for him to score again. Then puting up the bomb that brought rain with 9 minutes to go which resulted in Smith scoring again.

Obviously perfect examples of just how horrible the attack was when Lewis was playing :smirk:

I don't need to re-watch it. I've watched every game he's played. He showed some flair and had a good game against Brisbane. He also showed attacking flashes in his first few games in 2018...

But he also showed zero running game, no organisational skills and poor basic kicking and passing skills required from a FG half in every single game in between. You conveniently seem to leave that part out..

He's a phenomenal competitor and the best defensive half in the comp. He has a lot of good qualities. But we've had the worst attack in the comp the last two years for a reason and his lack of an attacking game is a huge part of the problem...

If we keep him I'll hope that he eventually improves his attack consistently but I'm not getting my hopes up. But if we could get the best winger in the comp in return, who can break a game open in ways that Lewis can only dream of, then i wouldn't be complaining....

Regardless of where you sit on the Lewis debate..

a 22 year old half, with potential - verse a certified gun, try scoring winger - arguably the fastest in the game.

You have stones in your head if you would reject this offer (if it is indeed true).

Can't believe people are exactly against this swap. The world's gone mad. Lewis is shit. Golden opportunity to get rid of him for a gun in return.
