Just got back home. Talked to most of the boys tonight. Also Hill and Lynne.
Hill and Lynne insisted that they try and keep everything tight lipped and media are throwing darts on most articles written about our club. Nothing much more from them bar saying 2020 we are aiming for success not waiting around for 2021.....
Stimpson says he is loving the move and family are only 4hrs away so not much changed for him after his move to us.
Reimis confirmed he wants a centre spot bad. Lewis looks like he has put on some size and Okonbur looks more impressive aswell. All the boys look happy and fit and were more than happy to have a yarn.

I'm hoping mate. We are still lacking hard in the spine. JMK, Lewis, coggar/wakes is a very young and inexperienced lot. We need to be defensively sound to challenge the better teams because the points may be hard to come by again

Edit... I encourage everybody who supports the club to do everything they can to make these forums. It is a much better way to have your voice heard and you can put your questions to those with some power over our club.

Absolutely agree on the media strategy and have always believed it. It’s a work in progress it’s clear to see - and they are deliberately not saying stuff publicly until they’re ready. So those scribes who need to fill their column inches will write whatever they want. As Hilly said and in Donald Trump terms: ‘fake news’.

What did you honestly expect they were going to say? They were never going to go into detail about players they are targeting and the roster is full bar one spot for next year.

I'm guessing that's why we signed guys like Biondo etc to fast track this a bit. Basically to knock a little time off the process of having players we've had a hand in developing progressing into the top 17. We already have seen a few players get chances. Ogden, Too'omaga Wakeham Okunbor etc all got a taste of NRL. We recruited a few good young players too in CHN, DWZ Cogger etc. We'll have to wait and see how Stimson Britt and Katoa factor in next years team. But it's easier to criticize if you leave out those details.

The long term goals are different to what they're doing now. We all want to see the team have success and we're entitled to be critical. But I'd encourage you and others to apply a bit of a wider point of view.
