Thanks for posting I had forgotten how good he was
You notice how much more space there seemed to be on the field for this type of running.

The game's gone backwards with the emphasis on structure and wrestling making it more predictable and boring. All just a power game now and who can manipulate the refs and field position.

My favourite player growing up. I loved the way he could step off both feet.....

He was one of our best during the 90s. That Prelim final against the Eels was one of his finer performances. Also the 95 finals series.

I swear he could change direction by 90deg with one step, and without any speed reduction.

I loved how he moved his head when he stepped too

Showed more toe than a Roman sandal - he was great to watch. He’s still working with the police today - wonder if he still has the same pace chasing the bad guys...

Fk that brought back some memories. I can almost take myself back to 1998 as a young kid watching the finals series and particularly the games against the Eels and Knights.

I would add from personal experience a great bloke, truly humble, a real gentleman and family man.

I wonder if he can teach that swing step to Dallin?

I still remember that era because there were countless numbers of late offloads from Relf and Britt to Silva and co. They would be so late and so hidden that the TV Cameramen would not even realise the ball had been passed.
