Hahahaha no I’m saying you negative ones will find something to complain about Shifty being there
I cannot fathom that any true blue and genuine supporter would not welcome Shiffty with open arms.
This is a guy with tremendous talent and knowledge to pass on
Dean needs some external specialist to help this team and club get back on there feet.
This will be a master stroke in the long run.

I know aye!

Nutboy and his cronies are just on here to spread their hate, spitefulness and shitty attempts of humor...

We should all support shifty, what a champion

Yes he is a true champion and great Bulldogs club man,no doubt
A bit of humour is great but not too keen on all the other stuff going on.
It’s a bit of a shame really,at the end of the day we are all Canterbury tragics.

I think you might be mis-interpreting there fellas. Any negative talk is towards the bleaters and nay-sayers who say the club and its leadership are useless, doing nothing and should be sacked.
The people you refer to think the opposite. Of course having Shifty at the club is a good thing - anyone who can help our young fellas take steps forward helps us get back to the top where we all want to be and believe we’re headed...

Fantastic halfback in his day, made Brett Finch look like amateur hour! Great positive video thanks mate.
Was definitely better than Joey in 2004. Should have played for NSW and Australia

Great to have him back at the club considering him and braith were the reasons we let Thurston go.
I'm sure he will add something to our attack as he is a very genuine bloke and a legitimate crafty toiler.
The young guys there will love what he has to offer them experience wise and let's hope we can see some of that late 90s creativity brent used to bring back to our club.

Even better if it was a full time position.

I may be bias, but surely Shifty was one of the most underrated halves of his time. I don't remember his name ever being in the bright lights yet he was such a classy and super smart half. Stoked to have him back around the club!

The coach at the time obviously believed - he was prepared to let JT go for him. Now granted Folkesy couldn’t have known JT would become a superstar, but he obviously believed in Shifty to make that call... I agree it’s good having him back to teach our young fellas - Shifty and Noddy were our most recent best Number 7’s...

If Sherwin was in a different Era with no Joey Johns, he would have def played for Nsw and maybe even for Australia.
I think its the best thing for Lewis/Cogger Wakeham having Shifty train them. Their kicking game, game management skills and even vision on the field will dramatically improve.
And that's a major postive, its like these young apprentices finally have a good Master to hone their skills.

He's one of those once in every X amount of time players... Had so many tricks in his bag and great natural instinct
