Other than eating all our pies, did he not unearth josh Jackson and dale finucane ?
Nah we had both before Cleal arrived. If Cleal had been the Recruitment boss back then - then you could safely say that Jackson and Finucane would never have worn the blue and white!

On the back of Ben barba ( from fullback) we made some grand finals..
Maybe latrell can do the same, the guy is brilliant

With barba We had a shit halfback,Kris Keating, or the injured iceman and a pedestrian hooker .....

But nearly won 2 premierships
The entire spine is a priority because out inability to score points is attributed to the fact that we don't have genuine points of attack to work off. Who's our elusive ball runner with pace and footwork? Who's our creative playmaker that can manipulate the defence and out his teammates into space? There just isn't enough there right now.

We have two promising players in Wakeham and Averillo coming through that bring key skills that are currently lacking in the team, unfortunately they look to be stuck behind other players. DWZ does plenty of things really well at FB but he isn't an elusive ball runner or ball player, sure he is an aggressive ball runner but is more reliant on attacking spaces that already exist or are created by teammates.

JMK non existent vision, can run fast in a straight line but again isn't elusive and has the balance of a toddler at contact. Can tackle. Lewis, not even going to touch that. Cogger, flashes of a half but overall average at absolute best right now.

Right now we're relying on so many players in key positions that are inexperienced that also have to improve or learn key skills required of that role. If someone hits the market with the required skillset then we'd be crazy not to look into it.

Ideal world everyone improves where needed and we have a very strong spine moving forward.... unfortunately it's not an ideal world and the chances of them all coming good are low.

Nope! He unearthed nothing.... but he did reject Latrell Mitchell and Cameron Munster!

Yeah he was responsible for signing up promising youngsters such as Michael Lichaa, Fran Tualau, Brad Abbey, Matt Frawley and Andy Saunders!

Noel knows talent.

Kevin Moore worked hard when he was at our club, he understood what it meant to be a bulldog and the level of ruthlessness we worked at, especially under the Steve Folkes coaching era, it would be awesome to have him back at the club in some capacity.

When you consider all the talent that signed while he was around including players like Pritchard he was obviously very good at selling the club to potential recruits. We really need someone like that.

Sign him up straight away

Kevin Moore is clearly without doubt the best person to take on this role..
We just saved 750k by releasing some deadwood staff, so make it happen as currently this is our number 1 priority !
Create a new role whatever it takes

When we think of someone who understands what it takes to get us back to where we should be, he would be the perfect person to lead us back. He has all the skill sets and can link both the administration and on field together with no problem at all!

How much was Moore directly involved in the ‘09 recruits though? Does anyone remember how long notice Folkesy gave after ‘08 or was he pushed when we got the spoon?

Moore’s first year was ‘09 - same year that Ennis, Stagg, J-Moz, Hannant etc all came.

I remember beating Manly (premiers) in Round 1 2009 at ANZ and coming off the spoon the previous year it was such a good feeling.

That night Moore said he’d resign with a 100% win/loss record - he had a sense of humour.

I assume he’s forgiven the club for being boned by Greenberg in 2011.

I have a better idea.

Bone hill, and make Kevin Moore the CEO.

We should have picked him up 6 months ago after he was dropped. But of course you need foresight and common sense to see past the amazing ability of Holland.

That’s why we are fans and not running the club. They focused their energy on gun players like crighton and the leilua brothers :p
There is no hint from the club that we chased the leilua brothers and Chrighton was signed long before the rumour mill started hinting that Scott was on the market. Expecting the club to predict the future is a big demand.

We simply don't know what is going on with our recruitment. Perhaps they have been working on getting Scott here. The club seems to be pretty tight lipped about the whole recruitment drive. Not every player that tours the club will do so with a prior announcement to the media.

Been saying this for a quite while now. He should be head of recruitment. He built two top four teams and actually recruited good players to the club.

You know, I'm trying to think of someone other than him who has had his type of experience at our club, and I can't. He has lived and breathed bulldogs since he was young. He was around when we had one of our best era's. How does the club not have him around is mind blowing!

They need to get him back, and allow him to oversee the entire program!
