Wouldn't surprise if he retired at the end of 2020. It has been that kind of a signing.

The article says foran doesn’t care about the money. **** should sign for minimum wage then if that’s the case to say thanks to this club for the retirement fund.

Personally I hope I never see him in the blue and white again as a player.

It wouldn't happen but minimum wage or close to it 100%. A player of that quality for almost nothing to play 1/3 games a season is a no brainer. That's especially with almost nothing on the market for us to buy.

Just an idea here not saying the club should do it but if we can’t get cap relief from the NRL how about we offer him a deal for next year and the year after on the condition he takes a significant pay cut for this year?

$200k per year + KPI bonuses for minimum selected for 1st grade games played (like 14 in a season to start) and TOP 8 TOP 4 incentives. Wont happen though, will get an NRL assisted medical retirement (because it was playing for NZ and not the dogs) and will pop up with Des in 2021...

Yes let’s pay Foran more money to miss games and take up a roster spot?
If Hasler and Cleal had focused their attentions on Munster instead of this dud who knows where the club would be by now?
I can’t wait for this Foran nightmare to be over

Even if they devided his salary for 2020 up into the next 3 years it would limit the cap damage to some degree. He can’t play NRL again if he he gets a medical retirement.

So instead of Foran being on 1.2m next season. We renegotiate it to 900k and re-sign him for a following two seasons (21, 22) on 500k (use whatever numbers you like). It'll pocket Foran an extra 700k and he'll have another two seasons in the NRL at least (unless medically retired). Only if it guaranteed Latrell :smilingimp:.

Basically that’s the gist of it hopefully they could get him much lower the 900k in exchange for a couple of extra years of football. If Foran really is in just to play footy you’d think he would be keen for something like that.

He cant play 2020, not sure if that is true about 2021 and beyond. If someone finds a medical cure surely they cant be denied employment...?

I’m pretty sure a clause of the medical retirement is they can never play NRL again. If someone is hanging out for a miracle cure then they can’t be medically retired.

Ok don’t shoot I agree he is a bit of a basket case but a gun for the rare games he actually plays

An article suggested due to his injuries he may only get 300k would you roll the dice at that price ?

Being equally as injury prone is a worry.

Is is worth talking to Ash Taylor, finding out what going on with him (not just what the media dicks are saying)? He's not worth $1m for sure, but he's at the Tits until 2021. IIRC they have cap problems, if we get them to kick in $500k plus the NRL's $350k, another $150k in 2020 and $500k in 2021 gives us a capable half. After 2021 re-evaluate. Would really, really depend on his headspace but.
Love to have him

The kid cannot make a go of it being in his hometown and surrounded by family and friends.
What makes you think he can come to the big smoke and make it work? With no support network.
Love to have him
