Mate I never mow the lawn in shorts let alone thongs lol. Nothing to worry about here.
I whipper snipped once wearing a pair of shorts!
I had cuts all up my legs and blood from the grass tearing through my skin!

If you aren't tough, stupid and have a high threshold for pain?
then don't try it!

I'm tough, have a extremely high pain threshold and sometimes do stupid shit, hence why I mow with footy shorts and bare foot lol

Mate high-powered whippers snippers such as mine (Ryobi) have the grass blades flying in all directions at high speed. I wear trackies whenever I do it and it still hurts - the only difference is it doesn't leave any marks.

Ryobi are nancy boy whipper snippers.

Get yourself a Shindaiwa if you really wanna impress the neighbours.

The thing is I HATE changing the cables on a whipper snipper. The Ryobi one gives you a cartridge and whenever the cable is short, you just tap it on the ground (to release the lock), hit the throttle, and it releases it. Saves so much time as well as the stop/start (which is good for the motor).

When the cartridge is empty, just load a new one in.

Like I said, I HATE changing the cable.

Plus it cuts my lawn - it does the job. Why spend twice as much on something that gives me the same result?

Japanese are world leaders when it comes to engines. Both Ryobi and Yamabiko (parent company of Shindaiwa) are Japanese.

Is it German made?

I prefer to use stihl made products when conducting a mans job!

It's rare that we agree. I sport a Ryobi and it more than does the job. Those on here that think you need to more to trim the edges?

They probably go out and spend money to look like a big shot as a tradie but probably have a cheap TV...

I don't think having expensive lawn care tools makes you any more of a man, maybe less in my opinion.

Even the aldi equipment is more than sufficient for home use

If it isn’t German engineered then you’re playing with a baby’s toy!

I used to do cyclone fencing.

It isn't wise for anyone to stand on the opposite end of the guy tying off the barbed wire!

My stepdad told me about a time his uncle was on opposite side and the wire broke tension and slashed his stomach open!

The guy literally had to hold onto his guts as he was raced to the emergency room to be stitched up!
