Greece have created history in fine style by thumping Serbia in Belgrade to advance to their first World Cup.

The Greeks qualified for the 2021 tournament in England with an 82-6 rout over the Serbs following their recent 42-24 loss to Scotland.

Greece only began competing in attempting to qualify for the World Cup six years ago but the fledgling rugby league nation will be competing on the sport's biggest stage.

Cronulla forward Billy Magoulias was at the forefront of Greece's victory over Serbia. Greek domestic players Aris Dardamanis (from Aris Eagles) and Nick Bosmos (Rhodes Knights) also scored for Greece in the comfortable triumph.

Former Roosters, Magpies and Wests Tigers first-grader Steve Georgallis coached the side and was immensely proud of their historic feat.

"It's a massive achievement for everyone involved in the Greek Rugby League to reach the World Cup," he said.

"We have been going for 17 years and for us to make the World Cup is an amazing result."

Serbia scored an early try but from there it was one-way traffic with Greece holding a commanding 46-6 lead by half-time.

Might be worth having a crack for some players of mykonos.
They're meant to have good ball skills.
