If I were to choose between Latrell or Kieran to play 5/8th for 1.2 million I believe the money would be more wisely spent with Latrell. He has a great kicking game and has the ability to create space for the players around him with his strength and evasion. No doubt he could learn more finesse in that position also. He could always play in a different position if it fails. I just can't see him being a worse investment than Foran, far from it.
Mate anyone with an ounce of brain would agree with you, Mitchell on the field V Foran in the stands, a bit like a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.

So we just fuck over the player that showed more commitment to the club in the back end of the season than the rest of the player’s combined showed in the first half of the season??
Some of you ***** are off your head Ffs
hahahah I was thinking the very same thing. Also I think Mitchel's decision could turn into a Rob Oakshot deal where it just goes on and on and on and on and on...

BTW, a link with the Cows could almost be as comical as him going to the Titans..beach, chill and poor form. If I was Lattrel looking for a new challenge after winning at the Chooks I would have thought going to the arch enemy under Bennett and Crowe with a quality roster already there and filling GI's boots would be very tempting. That is, if he really is motivated by things other than just money...

Surely the cows thing is a bs? They going for Holmes and have been planning this for 2 seasons with Morgan married to his sister or something like that?

I didn’t see any quote from latrell saying anything about the cows either. That’s a bloody long way from his family Too ?

Funny though cows with Morgan taumalolo either Holmes or latrell along with guys that would walk into our squad.

Im over it... Don't buy this kid.

Centres realistically shouldn't cost you more than 700k and that is if your Latrell Mitchell.

Save the money until we know more about our young halves and see if we need 1 mil for one of those.

We also need to spend big on a prop and continue upgrading gradually.

Latrell Mitchell left in limbo as rival clubs go cold on star centre
Souths general manager of football, Shane Richardson, ruled out his club making a play for Mitchell as have Wests Tigers, Penrith, Parramatta, St George Illawarra and Manly.

Canterbury chairperson Lynne Anderson stressed that she nor coach Dean Pay had met with Mitchell, his management team and no offer had been made.

There is interest from some at the Bulldogs although another clique at Belmore believe Mitchell could be a risky buy. An apparent dispute with his manager, Wayde Rushton, is further complicating the issue.

The Daily Telegraph understands Mitchell has spoken to a well-connected Bulldogs source about playing fullback but the club has just re-signed Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, a player hugely popular with teammates.

Well-placed sources close to the Wests Tigers claimed Mitchell “wouldn’t be at Concord” while Penrith management said the star centre “wasn’t on the radar.”

The New Zealand Warriors and Cronulla also expressed no desire to pursue Mitchell.

Roosters chairman Nick Politis is back from an overseas trip on Friday.

It is understood the Roosters would allow Mitchell out of his contract for next season if he can secure another club.

Mitchell had been linked with South Sydney for most of this year yet, in a highly unusual step, Richardson urged the Kangaroos centre to re-sign at Bondi.

“We might be linked to him but we have never spoken to him, never spoken to his manager — I don’t even know who it is — and we have no interest in him,” Richardson told The Daily Telegraph.

“And if he wants my advice, I’d stay at the Roosters.”

Another high-ranking NRL club official said: “He should stay where he is. Latrell should have jumped at the $800,000 on offer from the Roosters.”

The Roosters withdrew their offer – which was due to start in 2021 – on Tuesday. Mitchell remains under contract for next season. While a powerful and gifted player, Mitchell has lost the support of influential Roosters officials.

The Bulldogs won’t rule out an approach to Mitchell but “aren’t in a rush and haven’t decided whether we will pursue Latrell”, according to one insider. “The club is working out whether Latrell is the right fit.”

Anderson told The Daily Telegraph via text message: “Our football committee are always working on retention and recruitment but there has been no offer made nor discussion with Latrell’s management.”

Foran set to miss six months
Canterbury doesn’t have the necessary money for Mitchell in 2020 but have salary cap flexibility from 2021. The club wouldn’t though entertain outlaying $1m a year for Mitchell.

One leading player manager said: “I think the Bulldogs would be more prudent than to offer Latrell $1m a season.”

The Tigers have $1.7m available – but that figure spans two years.

Those close to the Dragons said the club “has never discussed Mitchell.”

Manly also has no interest having just re-signed the Trbojevic brothers, Jake and Tom, to rich long-term deals.

Even the grub managers don’t think he’s worth a million but some on here want to give him half the Leagues Club....
Channel nine news tried to make out clubs were interested in him. They pointed to knights as well as dogs being keen but when they interviewed the knights coach he was more interested in who he had and the cap. This is a big sales pitch by the press and managers looks like his not liked by other clubs.

LOLLL... literally all just clic bait. His reaction at the Mole and calling him out for lying is the best indication yet that he’s there’s things happening behind the scenes but that all these journos are off the mark and making him look silly.

Listen Latrel Michael, if you think you can come to the dogs on the terms you take our precious dwz's fullbacks spot, then you can piss off somewhere else. Dwz had been the best singing we've had in a long time and your just money hungry. Have one good game then sleep for another 10
