Manly hooker Manase Fainu ‘charged by police’, refused bail over

Manly hooker Manase Fainu has been charged by police and will face court on Tuesday.

A Channel 7 journalist revealed on Twitter that the young Sea Eagles rake had been refused bail after handing himself into police on Tuesday morning.

Fainu was a person of interest in an investigation into a brawl at a church dance over the weekend, which resulted in a person being stabbed.

Another journalist tweeted Fainu had been in the Liverpool police station for “nearly four hours”, prior to him being charged and refused bail.

The alleged stabbing happened at a church hall in Wattle Grove on Friday night.

Manly hooker Manase Fainu has been charged with stabbing another man at a church dance event on Friday night.
NSW Police issued a statement on Tuesday confirming they had arrested a 21-year-old man at Liverpool Police Station at about 8.10am.

Fainu had handed himself in that morning.

Fainu has been charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, affray and recklessly cause grievous bodily harm in company.

Wow, with the internationals happening it feels like the off season hasn't even started yet. The way things are going NRL should think about cancelling off season altogether. Just string the season out long enough so that as soon as it finishes teams have to start pre-season.
