Its a balancing act when it comes between the clubs relationship with player managers of course you want to be able to negotiate with every player available but you also don't want it to become a situation like the Broncos where Isaac Moses holds them to ransom.
I'd rather the club stand up for itself and not be pushed around by managers.
That sounds reasonable as a matter of principal but how effective is it if the guys who handle vast majority of the player's contracts and negotiations, won't deal with you.
At the very best, it's a major hurdle and strumbling block to improving your roster if you can only deal with 30%? of the available players?
No wonder we appear to struggle recruiting big names.
That situation, if true, really needs to be remedied asap or else we're pushing it uphill.
