Go on their forumsinteresting... because the Canberra fans I've seen on Reddit sound like they are putting the champagne on ice... and guess who will be paying overs for a player who nobody else is lining up for/ have to carry his baggage..... yeh that's right
They reckon he's on 600-650K. The Raiders are prepared to pay 100K of that. Still leaves us with 500-550K. We'd be better off offering Ramien that money if we offered him lower previously which I would suspect. He's much younger / fitter.Hopefully it shouldn’t as Raiders will still be paying some of his salary.
I'll just take your word for it.... won't change the pending disasterGo on their forums
Manu has come out and said he wants to stay at the Roosters. When asked about his future on the day of the GF Mitchell apparently said "the sky's the limit". Mitchell also wants to retire in 10 years according to a recent interview so obviously it's all about best coin to him. If we offer 150-200K more a season than the Roosters I really believe we'll get him. The Roosters have come out and said they won't be losing JWH, or Friend but said zero about Mitchell and they've admitted they need to shed "someone" due to the cap. I get the feeling they've come to terms with the fact it will be Mitchell. They can't afford to upgrade both Manu and Mitchell plus when Keary comes up for renewal after 2021 he's gonna want a big increase on the reported 750K he's on now. If he can get over his concussion problems virtually every team in the NRL will be lining up to offer him more than a MIL a season.Yeh IF it did. In reality Mitchell aint going anywhere, Manu same, Radradra is very unlikely, and Brisbane will do everything to keep Haas and Fifita. They will be looking to build future teams around those young guns from what i read.
It could be getting him causes us to miss nobody, coz nobody worth getting is available. And TBH who we need to replace became a smaller group later in the year, with our improved form. With NO more signings i think we can get top 8 if we hold our latest form. And this year we didnt lose 3 rep players in the offseason, so it cant be compared to last season when we did (Klemmer, Morrises x 2). Last seasons ok finish wasnt against as many top 8 and 4 sides, or as many wins either
About the possibility of signing Leilua. Hes decent, definitely wouldnt hurt our chances, but i wont cry if we don't get him. Id rather Wighton if we were getting raiders.
Broncs already have the money for Fifita set aside, so don't think he will go anywhere. Think a few senior players will be on the move & they've made it pretty obvious they are looking for a new Halfback.Manu has come out and said he wants to stay at the Roosters. Broncos realise they need to focus on specialist halves now. They're too top heavy on forwards already signed recently. Their performances proved this this year. They won't be able to match offers of 900K or more for Fifita. Warriors are reportedly interested in signing him for 1M a season. We could probably get him a littler cheaper as you would think he'd want to stay in Aust as he's close to his family. He has some friends in the Dogs SG Ball side already from his Keebra Park school days.
BJ is still only 27 tho. And TBH i wouldnt go as far as to say hes fitter... Ramien looked like a fat slob last time he ran out for Knights and given he's been out of a job since July he would be in worse shape atm. They reckon he's on 600-650K. The Raiders are prepared to pay 100K of that. Still leaves us with 500-550K. We'd be better off offering Ramien that money if we offered him lower previously which I would suspect. 100% spot on.Haven't heard a single word about any other club showing interest, not even the Titans or Tigers.... This just seems like it will be a signing for the sake of a signing... better to just hold onto the cash and wait
If you don't want to spend the money that's the only way to get decent players, ones that're rejects. If no other club wants them or can fit them in that's where the value is. I'm assuming that's the method we're going with until November. I'm basing that of who we've been linked with and who we've signed (nobody in that category). It's obvious the club doesn't want to pay overs but it's inevitable. Why are we not just chasing Lomax?
If Lomax is a chance to leave the Dragons, then wouldn’t he rather continue living where he is and only move his training 15mins up the road?
Why are we always so hell bent on signing other clubs discards??
We are the CANTERBURY BANKSTOWN BULLDOGS..are we not ??
Time to nab players that are at their peak and pry them away from the clubs that value them highly..
History has shown that once a player joins our great club, they usually embrace our culture and enjoy their time with us..however long.
C’mon board...time to get someone on board that has the bullying style mentality that refuses to take no for an answer, and knows what it takes to entice big names to join us..
Show us some balls on NOV 1

Funny how when Keary left the rabbits and I mentions we should go after Keary many people on this forum were adamant he was crap and didn't want him...now his everyone's cup pf teaManu has come out and said he wants to stay at the Roosters.
