Can we actually do a breakdown of what these players would roughly command? Just off the top of my head.

Tedesco - $1 million
Cronk - $1 million
Keary - $750,000
Morris - $400,000
Tupou - $600,000
Latrell - $700,000
Crichton - $500,000
Boyd - $800,000
Friend - $700,000
JWH - $700,000
Aubusson - $450,000

$7.6 million on just 11 players, leaving $2.4 million for the remaining 19? Or $126,000 each. What type of witch craft is this.
Latrell is on 550k, Crichton is apparently on $1 million as well.

Yeah sure they pay their younger players peanuts. I distinctly remember at Crest one day when Klemmer who signed with the Dogs as a fifteen year old was playing either Matts or Ball for us that it was mentioned the Rorters wanted him and wanted him bad and were offering insane money to try to lure him over. I am talking big first grade money here high 6 figure numbers.

So full of it are the Roosters. If they are so damned good why can't they field a stand alone Canterbury Cup side? They have not done that for many years. Currently affiliated with the Bears, in the past Newtown. Still remember that dick with the giggity giggity banner at their games ..........
The did the same to Mitchell Pearce.. when he was a teen and playing on north shore comp Manly and West Tigers who is dad played for, did everything to sign him.. The Roosters made him an offer that blew the others out of the water that you coukd not reject as a teenager.. so he ends up at the Roosters..

AND lol Toddy comes out in support of the Roosters saying that they manage their cap better than any other team in the competition, saying he has seen the figures and they don't lie.....with friends lijke they have things are looking very rosy for the Rorters...

https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/sc...-game-united-in-goodwill-20190926-p52v6z.html

While his past is lauded at one club and perhaps loathed at another, he has an impact on the present. When Schubert left the NRL, Roosters supremo Nick Politis employed him as the club’s salary cap compliance officer. It sent a message to the NRL and all those who nickname the Roosters “the Sombreros”, due to the perception the cap fits much more under it at the Roosters than other clubs. Yet, when there was no major case of self-reporting a breach by Schubert, others simply argued he was suffering Stockholm Syndrome.

The NRL insist both Melbourne and the Roosters simply manage the salary cap better than other clubs. Still, should the Storm release centre Will Chambers a year early in order to comply with the 2020 cap, they will replace him with a youngster. The Roosters tend to buy internationals, like Cooper Cronk and James Tedesco, leading some to argue that Politis reloads, while the Storm rebuilds.

Politis certainly sent another “up yours” message at last year’s grand final, insisting Schubert present the medallions to the winning Roosters. As a former great of the Bondi Junction club, Schubert was entitled to be given the honour, but the Storm perceived it as a deliberate reminder of their brutal punishment.

Yet another sign that Greenturd needs to be removed from office. When the lines are that fuzzed that he no longer even realises or cares about impartiality. The asylum isn't even run by the inmates in the NRL, it's run by the rats of the asylum!

Politis is full of it.. They have tye strongest team because theyve receruited the best players..

Unlike the Storm who developed the ajority of their spine the Roosters bought already premiershio winning halves in Keary and Cronk and added superstar Tedesco at fullback.. Add poachinging JWH from Manly and Taukihaho from watriors and State of Origin rep forward Crighton.. and dont forget replacing Ferguson who they also recruited from outside with BMoz and & English international Ryan Hall.. thats the 7 biggest names in their 13 all from other clubs

Now they've gone back to back maybe the NRL will start to make them comply with the cap. If the rorting is allowed to continue this great game will die

They have sunk Canterbury and Melbourne in the past, I don't think Nick is getting a free run to snatch Premierships but you gotta wonder why they always have a sick roster.
Bulldogs, Storm and Parra were all done by leaks. Bulldogs by that fat Greek business guy who leaked to Smh journo, Storm from a disgruntled ex-employee and Parra by an internal reporting by CEO. Also Sharks done by self reporting.

Love how the only Raiders only try was legit and should have been penalties 2 consecutive tackles in a row beforehand but both Roosters tries were controversial but nah Roosters totally took their dodgy opportunities and capitalised. Yup Raiders lost it should have have learnt how to to earn more advantage from the referees and play to that advantage. So courageous Roosters totally deserving of the greatest team in the modern era
