Jackson Topine just captained the Australian Schoolboys to a win over the Kiwis

He was our SG Ball player of the year. Started at lock but covered at centre after injuries. Scored a try also. Looks like a great player for the future.

Cooper Talau who is also a Bulldogs junior came off the bench.

The Australian Schoolboys game against the Kiwis just wrapped with Australia winning 36-20. Our very own Jackson Topine captained the side and scored a try he was forced into the centres for a lot of the game due to injury. What stands out with this kid is his leadership he’s a natural born leader. We have him on a long term deal and he really could be something special.

Maybe start him working with higher grades in off season. Some more weight training and getting some mentoring from club stalwarts may build some loyalty for the dogs.

He’s signed till 2022 and a true local junior so I wouldn’t be too worried about him going anywhere.
