No no no
Such as??He is a poor mans cooper Cronk clone....... boring and lame. Why is this even a thread? Dogs are building something special. Get ready dogs fans.
Exactly, it’s not a level playing field and our salary cap, recruitment/retention and junior development were royally screwed. Recovering from that takes time but we are back on trackDifference is the Roosters have 2 Premiership winning halves and just signed the best juniors around. Plus the fact they can attract anyone they want whenever they want with paper bags processes we don't possess. Add this to the salary cap restraints we were in the past couple of years.
Hastings and Lamb weren't anything spectacular.
Roosters plan well in advance better than any other club in the game and are continually rotating their roster to get the best out of it. Money helps but you can still have a lot money and make bad decisions, just look at Man United.Difference is the Roosters have 2 Premiership winning halves and just signed the best juniors around. Everyone jumps up and down about salary cap.. but as you said the salary cap is no excuse for poor planning, poor recruitment and retention decisions etc etc..Roosters plan well in advance better than any other club in the game and are continually rotating their roster to get the best out of it. Yeah true, but if the current Halves are stable and quality as the Roosters currently have, there's no need to rush the next crop in and develop their game which is where we currently are. We have Foran that has all the experience in the World and class when fit, but when he's not around we have the selection of a few inexperienced halves that get thrown in under done with the expectation and pressure of marshalling an NRL team around. Does them no favour at all and rips whatever confidence they have when not performing to that expectation.Roosters plan well in advance better than any other club in the game and are continually rotating their roster to get the best out of it. Everyone keeps jumping up and down about the Salary Cap because that's the exact reason we are in this mess. We are now slowly getting out of it. TO answer the retention side of things, who have we let go that would solve our halves issue? Recruitment isn't going too bad, you do realise there are 15 other teams going after the limited number of "young talent" that is available.Everyone jumps up and down about salary cap.. but as you said the salary cap is no excuse for poor planning, poor recruitment and retention decisions etc etc..
Some great young junior talent were off contract this year and we were able to attract none of them amd who knows if we even made a play..
We are under the salary cap this year and next year so how are we still in a salary cap mess like you say?Everyone keeps jumping up and down about the Salary Cap because that's the exact reason we are in this mess. Have a feeling this may turn around when we get out of the yeah you heard it SALARY CAP mess we were in.
And maybe we are a bit gun shy after letting go of a few real good players too soon!I rate Croft alot better than Lewis or Cogger..
Our problem is we persist with medioce players for too long.. hence our rebuild will be a slow process..
To give an example the Rorter$ released Jasckson Hastings within a few months of his FG debut and Brock Lamb within 6 months of signing him..
Meanwhile we persist with duds in our FG squad that clearly dont have it..
No. Our cap is fucked until 2021 due to heavily back-ended deals and paying players to play for other clubsWe are under the salary cap this year and next year so how are we still in a salary cap mess like you say?
And the club made big offers to Api and Ramien for next year.
Hardly sounds like a salary cap problem.
Man united have some of the best young talent coming in watch out next few years with a couple of more signingsRoosters plan well in advance better than any other club in the game and are continually rotating their roster to get the best out of it.
