He'll need time to develop but will be a great 9 in time.
Coming off a shoulder reconstruction will hamper his 2020 season, but no doubt in my mind this would be a great buy.

I think Egan has a chronic shoulder injury that he has already had reconstructed and will need another one at the end of this season. It’s a major concern for a hooker so young.

Segeyaro or Luke for 1 year is the way to go still tho.

We weren’t interested in Segeyaro when he was offered to us on minimum wage due to off field stuff and Luke looks like going to Manly at this stage. I’d rather sign no one and persist with JMK for a year and/or give Hetherington a run than buy someone for the sake of a year on anymore than minimum salary

Problem with that is we'd have no experienced specialist hookers at the club

We need another hooker in the squad, end of. We have no other hooking option outside of JMK. The youngsters are no where near ready to fill that role for us so we would probably just end up with Wakeham or Cogger being used there and that could get ugly.

I agree it's shit that certain youngster don't get a go at a young age, but our hooking options are defenitely not ready. @diddly knows more about the juniors so he would have a better idea as to who could potentially get a crack next season. Averillo is the only one I'd back to start the season, we have a spot open at centre and could give him a run there instead of Montoya or whoever else we're stuck with.

Well we have a good bunch coming through now so we will find out over the next year or so. Hopefully Wakeham and a few others get some more footy, can't keep wasting time with average players for large periods of the season.
