I rate Staggs higher than Scott, Ramien, Xerri and Lomax. Tough **** with acceleration, footwork and strength
Xerri got more footwork n speed than those 3 put together
And a big unit

Hass is still only 19 and by far the most dominant and destructive forward in the game.
Makes Klemmer look shit... hass has speed, plays massive minutes, footwork and a great offloading ability and what makes him likeable is that he doesn’t have a massive ego and comes across as a very humble person.

Fifita is becoming a SBW clone.. he is worth whatever teams want to throw at him because he is that good.
Throw some money at him....he will be worth every cent

You'd think Oates, Staggs, Turpin, Isaako would easily add another mil between em.
Fuk I wouldn’t mind the broncs winger who killed it last week...not stags the other one...he is soo fast and strongly built

Agree but Staggs has more dog in him and creates for himself with power. Xerri needs some space to do anything
I think xerri if you watch him is always concerned about what the older blokes think
He seconds guesses himself sometimes and doesn’t want to let anyone down
But when he goes, its over

Staggs is a very good player who's improving by the week, but Xerri has much more potential with his game breaking ability and combination of size and speed.. Once he fills out, gets more confidence and gets the ball more, he'll dominate.

Fifita would have added another 200k to his asking price last night alone. This kid is a special talent.

No doubt the Broncos will lock him up for 5 years very soon before he tests the market on some bullshit deal well below what other clubs would offer. The rest would be paid in the form of cars, properties and cash filled suitcases.

You know you have a corrupt competition when the best talents in the comp don't test free agency to try and get top dollar because they know they'll get more where they are even though only half of that amount is reported under the cap.

Broncos make signing David Fifita a priority after two try masterclass against Rabbitohs

He is not off contract until next season but David Fifita has no doubt ignited a bidding war after a powerhouse display in Brisbane’s 22-20 loss to South Sydney.
The 19-year-old can’t officially field offers from rival clubs until November 1 but has already been linked to Parramatta and the Warriors.

And the list of suitors will no doubt only grow after he earned praise from both coaches for his barnstorming effort that almost inspired a comeback Broncos victory in Friday night’s pulsating clash with the Rabbitohs.

Someone had to stand up in the Broncos pack after they lost enforcer Tevita Pangai to a five week crusher-tackle ban.

And Fifita delivered in spades.

The Queensland State of Origin rookie terrorised the Rabbitohs, scoring two tries, running 136m and breaking an extraordinary 11 tackles to help Brisbane fight back from a 22-8 deficit before the hosts fell short in a thriller.

There was already speculation the teenager could command a $700,000 a season salary on NRL’s open market.

But Fifita may yet have boosted his price tag with his heroics on Friday night - not that Brisbane coach Anthony Seibold had to be told.

“We see him as a priority, of course we do,” Seibold said of re-signing Fifita.

“He has been with the Broncos since he has been a kid so of course we want to keep him but he has a year to go on his contract.

“But yeah he was really good (against South Sydney), a lot of tackle breaks, he ran with real intent.

“He gave the Bunnies’ right hand side a fair bit of grief.”

Even South Sydney coach Wayne Bennett gushed over the Broncos youngster after his 67th minute try sparked a fightback from the hosts that ultimately fell short.

Even better was his 44th minute opening four pointer.

Fifita combined brute strength and nimble footwork to bust through four defenders and run 30m to crash over.

“His (first half) try was pretty outstanding,” Bennett said.

“He is a wonderful forward. That was a great try he scored - only good players can do that.

“He’s a handful. He epitomises the future of the game to me.

“His behaviour on and off the field is outstanding. He’s a wonderful athlete.”

So let's do a rough estimate for next year's "cap" for Brisbane:

Milford: $1 million
Bird: $700k
Boyd: $700k
McCullough: $ 600k
Gillett: $600k
Lodge: $650k
TPJ: $650k
Ofahengue: $500k
Haas: $550k
Fifita: $1 million
Oates: 500k

That's $7.5 million for 11 players leaving $2.5 million for the other 19 players in their squad, or 130k each... But according to the NRL, everything adds up just fine.

This is even more proof that the Third Party system just makes the code even shadier, imbalanced and corrupt.
Boyd and McCullough will be gone soon which will free up close to 1.5 million, that’ll be spread among their young talent making it quite easy to retain them all tbh.

Also Fifita wont fetch 1 million, it’ll be closer to 700k.

Boyd is contracted until 2022 and he is on a rumoured $800k a season.

Broncos are in trouble trying to keep Fifita in house and still haven't locked in Corey Oates for next year.

He's knocked us back before but given the situation developing should we have another crack at him? plus Flegler from Nov 1 we can start talking to.
