In a weird way I wouldn't mind it if we miss the 8 due to for and against. It will be a hard lesson, but next season on those days when it just isn't there for the Dogs, motivation will be sky high not to let the opposition put on a score. For the same reason the puzzle of how to score points will get a massive investigation.

In a weird way I agree. If we get there this year, its hard to see us going much further anyways.

Maybe it would be far more productive for the coach and players to reflect on the frustration of just narrowly missing out due to poor early season form and effort.

And make sure more is put into pre-season training and stamina/tactics/combinations for 2020 when we would have a better chance of competing for Top 8.

Our problem isn’t reaching 24 points we are a good shot at getting there. Our problem is that other teams that can also get to 24 or even higher and then our points deferential bites us in the ass.

3) Andersons being called saviours.
4) Meaney the best attacking weapon we’ve had in years.
5) Posters want to extend Foran, Hopate, JMK & Holland contracts.
6) Elliot, Tolman, Napa & C Smith being praised.
7) Jackson outstanding leadership lauded.
8) Unsuccessful attempted takeover of the Kennel, WTF?

Hopefully next time I “hit and run” we have won the 2019 grand final.
