In 2004 there were 26 rounds. Played 24 and two byes. In 2019 there are 25 rounds. Play 23 and two byes.
So in actual fact El Masri played one extra game.

Incorrect. There's 25 rounds, still 24 games played. Every team has 1 bye round and 1 'off' round for SOO game 2.
