Too many cry babies on this page. True dogs fans would understand bulldogs are rebuilding and would have seen by now where the future is going . Some really good talent . Pay is getting better with them. Don’t over whipped the cream or the frappe ain’t good

I love how you compare him with some dud coaches. Mary, Brown , Kearney That’s what we want to hear
The writer is trying to show people that a rebuild is not easy.
McGregor, Brown, Kearney, Arthur, etc, have had time to rebuild, and havnt set the world on fire.
Grand Final winning coach Paul Green has a good team and they are floundering.
Titans tried to rebuild by buying good players and have failed.
Wests have a new coach and new players, and still struggle.
Have a look at Newcastle. Spent a fortune and cant get it together.
Give Dean Pay a chance to finish what he has started. He started off by having to shed some overpaid,
under performing players like Woods, Mbye, Morris x 2, etc. He has recruited some quality players like DWZ, Stimson, Cogger, Britt etc.
He will shed a few more players at seasons end and recruit some more replacements.
The future looks good. It just needs a bit of time for Pay to really succeed.
The players seem to like playing for him.

TL;DR.
Knowing the author, I have a pretty good idea of what was said.

Despite not having the best side they have lacked attitude at times and thats part of the coaches job, sports psychologist.

This season is a carbon copy of last season... we sucked arse until we were completely out of the finals race and we win a few nothing games. Don't get to attached to any combinations as Dean likes to mess em all up in the offseason.
We started last year and this year with a different and weaker side than the year before, due to shedding players for cap reasons. It took a chunk of the season just to get some form with the team, because we have started from scratch both years. if we can go into next year with a lot of the same players and a few better ones, which hasnt happened since before Des, we are a better chance of showing good form earlier in the year.

And the games we won lately were not all nothing games. Tigers and Penrith for example, both desperate to win games, both on the fringe of the 8, so both trying their hardest. They were the opposite of nothing wins. Sure we arent good enough to beat some of the top teams like Roosters or Storm maybe, but that isnt unexpected. Those sides are full of stars

And Pay has chopped and changed selections a bit sure. If we are rebuilding and no chance of making the 8, trying out shit is a good idea. Some of the changes were forced too due to injury or suspension, like the halves with Foran in and out so much.

I think hes done ok with what we have. His real test will be how we go when we have a competative team on paper. Any coach can fail witha shit side, and none of the top coaches have made the 8 with a shit side. Most of the top sides are full of rep, and better players. Some of them are ex bulldogs.

Pay is obviously not a good coach but some people are blind. We are going backwards if you can not see. Just look at our for and against we don’t deserve to do better than we are at.
When people say pay has no influence on choosing the side is bull and if true doesn’t deserve to be coach anyway as has no influence on the side...

His a very emotional coach and always selects his favourites even though they don’t deserve to be playing first grade. Just need to look at our recent player that went to England as he wasn’t getting selected on his firm
But it’s not his fault it comes down to the board that firstly don’t know what they saw in him and secondly done nothing when he was makes making stupid selections with no pans of attack.

So he only selects his favourites, but ppl are complaining he changes the side too much. They must all be his favourites.

Hypothetically, if we win the remaining 4 games, we'll be on 24 points which will have us just outside the 8. That's not bad considering the type of year we've had. We've lost a lot of close games by 6 points or less, and be very unlucky in some. I still think Pay should be given the opportunity to show us who he can lure to Belmore when he has cash to splash. That cash will be available for 2021 during the 2020 season. Let him show us what he can do fellas.

In reality the season was over weeks ago though and the same thing happened last year. These late season bursts of wins mean absolutely nothing if they aren't used as a base to get off to a better start next year.

also happened (to a lesser degree) at the end of Haslers reign... so history shows it means absolutely nothing heading into a new season.....

It's nice to win some games again but its naive to think we have turned any corners just yet. Late season wins when out of contention is fools gold.

Maybe its time that Dean Pay made his selections after reading The Kennel.
He should totally disregard any input from people like Mortimer, Dunn, Price, Anderson, Farrer. and his assistants.
What the hell would they know. Have they ever played the game?
When they get the experience of the Kennel experts, maybe they will be OK.
Pay should also rethink his promotion and relegation practice. He shouldnt even consider form or ability. He should just look at the Kennel
and see what the resident experts think.

Well, if we're going into hypotheticals, we can still make the 8. Not that we will or course.

When the side gets better and wins more, this habit of going on a run at the back end will be a good thing.
