Political correctness runs and controls the world !!!
Yeah well doesn’t mean we gotta just sit by and just go along with it. That’s why it’s taken over. We’ve just sat there not caring. Todd Greenberg needs to be the first to fuck off as he has single handidly rabid the game with that political bullshit.

ah no....as soon as the club sacked him the club owns the outcome.

As I said before if your tell a painter to piss off half way through a painting and then you commission a new painter to finish painting you can't complain out the finished painting as it is all on you.

Before he got sacked Des was saying he needed to recruit in certain positions and rebuild structures, never got the chance, got sacked.

He needed to do that years before he got sacked

How long did he want? 15 years

But it wasn't years though was it.
Round 20 2016 was when the wheels started to wobble and then fell completely off in 2017 when the team couldn't score points.

2016 - 506 points for.
2017 - 360 points for.

Reason Mybe & Reynolds played utter shit in 2017.

As we are seeing now not easy to turn a roster quickly. I just don't think we would have gone as low if Des had seen out his new contract which the club paid for anyway.

How many coaches can you name that have got sacked with a 57% winning record and missed the finals 1 year out of 6?

Wheels started to wobble much earlier then that buddy

And making up the numbers in a top 8 is bananas
Not Interested In a boring style of play to just scrap into the 8.

He made the top 4 only 1 year 2012 and never again

That is rubbish

really...can't coach

Not including this season he has been head coach 14 seasons, results

58% wining record
2 premierships
5 grand finals
6 top 4 finishes
12 top 8 finishes

No too bad for someone who can't coach. Manly are going ok this season by the way.
I'm not influenced by statistics, what he did to our club is unforgivable.

The first sign of his gambling habit came in the form of a fat useless nob trex....

coming off one of our best seasons ever..
Putting his value ahead of a glorified dally M medallist who singlehandedly put bums on seats for the club again is not a good business decision.

Trying to put a rising star , our captain , to pasture and buying some schmuck to replace him... Then Ennis singlehandedly leading our 7th place -7 f/a sorry arsed team on an attack to the GF really exposes haslers short sightedness on how to win games and ultimately coach. Ennis used every trick and skill he knew ... For Ennis to continue on where he was instrumental in securing a first GF win for a club who hadn't won a premiership for 50 years solidifies haslers Is out of touch with making correct decisions..

When Damien Cook who played just 7 games and won Man of the match for 5 of those and who basically saved out season single handedly gets dropped for peanuts to ensure wonderboy Lichaa remains our hooker.... well that's just insanity!!. He gambled more times on our club than I care to remember..

He fucked up our club with his short sightedness and addiction to gambling. He can't coach

Des coached us for money and he coached Manly for passion. Big difference.

Cherry must have some authority on how they play as he put in about 5 or so kicks into the warriors goal line, Des would never allow something so risky when he coached us.

If Des had stayed as coach I suspect we would never have heard of the "salary cap crisis" which was made up bullshit anyway.

Des history is he is not a recruiting coach both at Manly & Canterbury he worked with the squad he had or with who came through the ranks. His problem at Canterbury was when the obstruction rule changed we didn't have halves that were good enough, in fact Mybe & Reynold got worse, never clicked and it resulted in the disastrous 2017.

Yeah but it's all Des' fault right. He had 57% winning record, 5 finals series in a row, wanted to stay at the club and rebuild the roster but got sack. Once he got sacked the club owns all the outcomes which is the team has gone backwards.

Yes, because 37 points is a far better option!
Despite what you're implying, one simply can't make salary cap issues disappear.
Are you even a Dogs supporter? As any true fan would not want to go down the 37 points path again.

It is the job of the coach to coach players about new rules and strategies in how to mitigate them, so rule changes are irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, unless you think it's the job of players to coach the side.

Would you apply the same reasoning to the legal system when a killer, rapist, child abductor etc all are not held responsible for their actions?
Are you personally willing to accept ownership of their actions, due to the failings of the system you represented?

He had several years and control to recruit who he wanted, no excuses!

I wish he was made to stay and suffer the consequences of his actions, with all control beyond coaching removed from him.

Exactly ! The red flags were blinding. The number of bad decisions he made alone, shoulda been cause for a vote of no confidence and a spectacular sacking (regardless of any historical data of premiership statistics.).

People who still think he should've been given more time are delusional, dysfunctional and insane.. It's like continuing to send your child to a highly accredited child care facility even though you witness child abuse in their care.

Only an idiot would continue to accept child abuse as a valid strategy because of the facility's accreditation.

He got injured just moments before 2nd half..
We were up by 12-6 ..we still had Pritchard and Graham who were ample enough to continue Ennis game plan or at least ensure defensively we stood tight .. Hodko was the difference though with his pinpoint kick at the end..

The GF Ennis was completely out and we lost spectacularly under the leadership of that fraud Hasler
