Bulldogs star Kieran Foran is set to miss at least another week after succumbing to a calf injury while recovering from a hamstring problem.

It’s a huge blow for the Bulldogs as their five-eighth has not played a game since Round 15 and a total of just 10 games for the club this year.

Captain Josh Jackson confirmed Foran had ‘tweaked’ his calf at training this week while attempting to return from a hamstring injury in time to play the Panthers this week.

Surely they can medically retire, this bloke, what a total waste of cap space, not to mention, working on combinations,if they can retire matulino, for knee injury, why not for foran, who's a cripple in comparison.

Medically retiring comes down to an insurance company...... every **** knew he was busted before coming to us, as if any insurance company is going to foot the bill for $1.2mil a season.
Spot on! Its going to be really hard to get him medically retired.

We will need to go down the GI track if we are going to do it but there's a couple of problems in that Foran might not want to retire and the NRL will have different rules when it's not Souths.

Why can't we just medically retire the poor **** and give him a job as a halves coach. How many times can you flog a tired aging horse before it falls dead from injury and exhaustion.

As bad as it sounds, I'd prefer if we just flicked him to someone willing to pay around 250-300k for next year and make a play for a good hooker or centre that could be apart of our team for the future.

Put him on ice for the rest of the season, nothing to play for. He's obviously pushing the limits in trying to get back on the field and in doing so creating more issues. Use the opportunity to get some first grade experience into Wakeham.

Send him over to Germany, there’s a sports scientist/quasi doctor guru who uses unorthodox methods, he helped manage Usain Bolts hamstring issues and a few of the AFL guys have been treated by him.

Forget about offloading or retiring him, it’s not going to happen, he’s contracted for one more year let’s do everything we can to get the best out of him. If he can play 15 plus games, with the addition of Stimson and maybe a decent number 9, we’d have some cause for optimism next season.

It would be nice if it happened but I can't see any other club forking out $700k for him. We might just have to ride out the last season with him unfortunately.

Foran would get Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) travelling to Germany & would spend more time on the sidelines.

Best to pay for the Dr to travel to Australia.

We're doing at least a year with Pay...why not Foran. Break out the champagne.

I honestly feel that even he has lost all motivation of playing this game.

Remember when he got injured earlier this year - said to be out for 3 months, but returned in 1? He was champing at the bit, digging in and doing extra recovery sessions to get in.

If he was beat before, imagine now. Poor guy
