There’s plenty of frustrating things in this side at the minute but there’s nothing worse then the amount of momentum killing settlers that we do in every set!

The forth tackle is guaranteed to be a nice soft settler or after a line break or quick play the ball more often then not it’s another settler! Perfect example is last night just before half time Oates knocked on a kick on his try line we start spreading the ball and after 2 passes it ends up with Fualalo for a fucken settler!

I’m not sure if this is a old remnant left over from Des ball or Pay’s idea maybe it’s a bit of both but it stifles any type of attacking play. Anyway that’s my rant for the day done!

There’s still some though in Lichaa and Tolman that seem to love doing it.
Tolman in my eyes is selfish and only cares about his stats, when he plays in the side he's always there to get the ball and looks dirty if it doesn't go to him at least three times a set. You could argue that it's his job, but not to take momentum killing hit up after hit up, especially in the opposition 20

Team has no idea how to build pressure, create or change momentum, they’re clueless, coaches and players both to blame, on 4 occasions last night they created space on the left side with a couple of quick passes, most sides would keep going that way, end up with a 3 on 2 and take advantage of it, we turned the ball back inside every time, and it came to nothing. Even my 12 year old son could see it, he threw his hands up and said dad why do they keep coming back inside!

Poor preparation. Pay banged on about his heads up footy and what not but totally neglected the basics required in todays game. For all the natural talent the likes of the Storm, Roosters, Bunnies, etc have, you can bet your life on them thoroughly preparing for situations like this in game so everyone knows their role and what is required in each situation..the natural flair then comes to the front off the back of this. We on the other hand just look clueless across the park a lot of the time.

I'd say the game starts and ends with the dummy half. He's the visionary that decides who gets the ball, and should be involved in directing the attack.

So when you look at our options, is it any wonder this continues to happen.

I can't remember the last time I saw a bulldogs hooker throw a cut out pass.

While this was a massive Des thing implemented with tolman all Pay has to demand is forwards dont touch the ball after the 2cnd or 3rd tackle in opp 20.pretty simple and let backs play footy .very basic instructions .

Agreed, that's why we are are such a long way behind most teams, we look like an unorganised rabble way too often. How many times have we heard Storm players say that everybody knows their role in the team and what their job is, so whoever comes into that team doesn't miss a beat and the team as a whole functions like a well oiled machine. If Pay was any sort of decent coach he would have learnt all he could have off Bellamy and implemented it with the Bulldogs....but he obviously didn't

The most concerning thing is that Dean Pay isn't getting at least the forwards organised even tho he was a SOO and Kangaroo himself.

Remember Pay is an ex forward, has implanted that forwards do the hard yards whether it be first or fourth hit up,Team has shown improvement when he relinquished attacking coach setup and gave it to SG..Apparently has been told he is to be replaced but not confirmed,

Are you serious, how has our attack improved, it’s awful, anyone championing SG should be shot down the same way the Pay supporters are

Sg took over 3 weeks ago and we have won two, Dogs were in the game up to half time and beyond.Attack shapes have been ratified immensely since.Need to allow SG to have players that know his plans picked, not DP faves, Do you support dogs at all? Don’t like DP and now don’t like SG..

Tolman has taken the hit up after a line break or mini line break multiple times. The bloke legit is selfish like you said. He should stand the fck back and let the speed men play from there.
