Pay served under Bellamy, from memory, you can't get a better coach to serve under.

Dib and co made a massive blunder in signing Pay, brought him in on hopes and dreams, but then again there were quite a few experienced coaches who passed up on coaching us based on our salary cap situation at the time. Our available choices weren't anything to get excited about at the time.

Being a assistant to a great coach doesn't automatically mean that assistant will be a great coach too. There's always a risk hiring a rookie and we have found that out.

Agreed Dib also made it worse by pigeon holing himself into picking from coaches that had a prior connection to the club.

The results of Rookies like Pay, Mcgregor and Brennan, Barrett is exactly why rookie coaches with zero first grade coaching experience in NRL and ESL should avoided..

The risk is too high.. not worth the gamble..

Get a coach whos done it and succeeded before..

Doubt it and the Dragons have massive political issues (St George v Illawarra) at board level. The Illawarra side is led owner Bruce Gordon won’t punt a Illawarra coach very easily.

Who are you again? Passing judgment as if you know what your talking about....you attend our training sessions do you? Converse with all our coaching staff, conditioners, physios? Your there when Pay puts a caring arm around a player whos out of form or recently split from his gf?, or there when game plans are devised and tip sheets passed onto players.? Lets not mistake 'coaching' with 'execution' or 'ability of players to carry out instructions'.
Let me put it bluntly. If Pay couldnt coach he wouldnt still be there. We are not a Club run by a bunch of amateurs. They've all been around long enough to spot a fraud and Pay is not a fraud.
