David Klemmer comes into the bench.
He had it coming after the hit on CoggerWhat a crock of shit decision ! whats the bloke supposed to do he came from the opposite side couldn't see if the ball was gone ffs it was a split second, they need to be banned from any slow motion replays
No doubt Chloe will tell him off for wasting his seed like that!David Klemmer comes into the bench.
This^^. The game will be changing now with CTE. The rule is any contact with head you're gone. He is welcome to use that technique on fellow tall forwards if he's game but shorter players he will have to adjust.“Lateness is an element, but not a particularly importantly one. What we’re dealing with is direct contact with the head." - NRL’s counsel Peter McGrath. Whether he was late or not, the main charge was for contact with the head. Plus, if Sims pled guilty but argued for a lesser charge (which was granted), he could've played origin. Since he pled not guilty, he only misses one game...unfortunately for him, its the origin game.
IMHO, its a deliberate ploy, twice in the last few weeks he's done the same thing...hit the shorter playmaker at full force just low enough for initial contact to be legal, so hard that the playmaker's head snaps forward and hits Sim's shoulder. Both times resulting in playmaker concussion, out for the game and stuffs up the opposition's attack.
If he didn't intend for it to happen this way, he would've changed how he hit Morgan. He just had to bend his back a little. But he didn't.
"Lucky" for the Cows, with the bye and SOO, he'll be back for them next game. Unlike for dogs where we lost Cogger the next week as well, since there was only 6 days thus within the concussion protocol break.
Smashing the playmaker to try and put him out of the game isn't a new ploy of course, its been this way for decades. However, we now don't want players concussed so the NRL is cracking down on it. With the CTE findings going public recently, they'll be petrified of being sued and of mums pulling their kids out of league.
For herself or........$30k windfall.
Chloe can book the Botox and butt implants now.
