Young forward James Roumanos is the latest Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs player to be added to the club’s Top 30 squad.

Roumanos joined the club from the Cronulla Sharks over the summer as a development player, but following the departure of Rhyse Martin, the rookie fills the final spot of the Top 30.

James is one year into a three-year deal with the club and has featured in the Bulldogs Canterbury Cup and Jersey Flegg sides throughout 2019.

The 19-year old has also played International Football this season having represented Lebanon against Fiji at Leichhardt Oval during the NRL’s Representative Round.

A strong ball runner with a great work ethic, James was born in Greenacre and has a connection with the club as the grandson of former Canterbury player, Kevin Brown.

His promotion follows the news that local junior Kayne Kalache will also join the Top 30.

Better not be another Zac Saddler like move.

Haven't seen a lot from him, but he's very young.

Just another minimum wage player to allow more room for a few big dogs in the next 18 months. He definitely has the potential it seems though

I've actually seen Roumanos' name on the lower grade team sheets. So he's got Saddler covered already.

Was Kevin brown any good?
Kevin Brown joined Canterbury in 1955 as a centre.

Kevin is the borther of Alan, Colin and Gordon Brown. He was a regular in third grade in his initial season.

In 1956, Kevin moved to the second row and after two mixed seasons in third grade, was promoted to start the 1958 season in first grade.

Kevin became a regular member of the first grade team for six seasons. In 1960, Kevin played in the Semi Final against Easts (Roosters) and in 1962, played in the winning Pre-Season final team against Western Suburbs.

Kevin played in the Sydney II team in 1958 before he was relegated to reserve grade toward the end of 1963 for the final series. He played his last club game in the 1963 Preliminary Final against South Sydney.

What is wrong with you guys.
I live in the country but I have seen his Bio.
Have seen him play when FOX show the Reggies.
He was a star with the Sharks junior teams.
His grandfather Kevin Brown was a top forward in the 60's maybe made the Sydney team. (the big game then was Sydney v Country)
Research and you will maybe learn.

Impressed me in his first showing but has slipped away during the season. He tends to disappear a lot after a few good mins, hopefully being 19 is the reason for that.

Be surprised if he plays NRL this year I think he was only slotted in to the top 30 because we couldn’t fill Martins spot in time.
