Is there something wrong with Napa?

He's just not very good and never has been. He misses tackles regularly, struggles to make metres as he gets smashed at the line and tries to compensate by throwing miracle balls which aren't on.

I don't think his wrist has anything to do with it. Moeaki Fotuaika has been playing with a broken wrist for months and has been one of the form props in the NRL.

Napa was always a panic buy and having him earn 500k plus for the next two seasons was a bad decision. Hopefully him continually making Origin despite his poor form leads to other clubs showing interest but that's unlikely.

Napa was a very poor buy the club . That aside I thought today was his best for the club. Whilst at time he got dominated, he dug in towards the back end of the game with some good repeat efforts and high work rate. Those are the numbers he should be doing every week

I think it’s a combination of the injury and trying not to aggravate it further so he isn’t injured for origin. Not great from him but it’s not like his club is going to play finals.

Apologies to @Bob dog For the language in my opening post..

I just hated his dirty tactics and his fearless tackles when we played against him.. But secretly wished we had a player like that. Then he comes over and plays like a marshmallow dipped in sprinkles .

He's so soft, he turns into a shapeless object and melts into the ground as soon as he gets touched.. So frustrating...

If I'm honest I tried to fool myself that him (Napa) coming after Klemmer walked out on us was an equal replacement. Klemmer just annoyed me so much when the hits just kept coming that I wanted it to be "who cares".

The truth is that Napa was never going to be equal as he is fairly ordinary and as enforcers go he fails at the task. Wasted money IMO.

He was good early in the season before the ankle injury. Then fucked his wrist playing Origin and hasn't been right since.

Lies prone on the ground planking and takes an age to ptb. Can't stand him and never wanted a dill like him signed.

Again, what about Fotauika? He's been killing it as a 19 year old prop with a broken wrist for months. Napa has been average for years before his wrist injury.

Disappointing and not the player he was, no mongrel left, just soft like the majority of the team .
Agree was hoping for more mongrel.

Hope he can turn it around if not only another 2 and half year of Tolman like games.

Might explain why Roosters let him go.

On reflection, would of been better with RGC.
